Aftermarket Brake Options

My 2014 435i Cabriolet is going to be due for a new set of front & rear brakes soon. Does anyone have any aftermarket recommendations for pads and rotors? I have the M Sport brakes with blue calipers (option S2NHA)

Ferrodo DS2500 pads. Great bite hot or cold. Reduced brake fade and no gassing.

Rotors. I would say ATE.

I put EBC Reds on mine (very happy with the lack of dust and bite). I just did a pad swap when the car was fairly new, so I don't have any rotor recomendations....

I need more information, there are just way too many routes to go down here...

What are you trying to accomplish?

-Weight savings?
-Low cost?
-Reduce brake dust?
-Track use / daily driver?

Performance wise, nothing will have a better initial bite in the cold than the OEM pad. If you want to increase performance, acceleration, braking, handling, go with a 2 piece rotor for reduced rotational mass. It makes a tremendous difference.

I'm not super concerned about saving weight and when it comes to brakes, I am willing to spend a little bit more money within reason. I'll have to look what my options are in terms of cost before I make a final decision. It's a daily driver and lower brake dust is a preference.

What is your recommendation for both a one piece and two piece rotor?

If you're just daily driving I wouldn't bother with the extra cost of a two-piece rotor. Pretty much just OE (BMW) and hella/pagid (OEM) are the only two-piece rotors I've seen, unless you want to spend big money on Stoptech or ECS Tuning.

For low-dust street pads the EBC Reds and Powerstop Z23 seem to be pretty common. I've been pretty happy with my EBC Reds.
