Thanks, I'll check them out. Did you buy your car at a BMW dealer to get the OEM warranty? Not sure if I have that option buying private party.

The car needs to be within the factory or CPO warranty to get the BMW OEM ESC.

So BMW warranty is off the table. I was hoping to get EasyCare or Route 66 as they both seem to have a good reputation, but can't seem to get a quote from either in California.

What is the best extended warranty company today for BMW?

Are these still good?

If it helps, here's a warranty brochure for Route 66. It's pretty clear on what it covers and what it doesn't cover. Now, this isn't the exact contract that you're buying, so that might differ, but it's a good indicator of what you get with Route 66.

If I was having a shop do the work all I did was give them my policy number and number for them to deal directly with Rt66. If I was doing a DIY claim I emailed claims@route66.com with my policy number and they bounce back confirmation of coverage and ask for a receipt for reimbursement.

Brake pads, rotors, and all other wearable parts (including gaskets not needing replaced as part of a covered repair) are not included and you have to maintain the vehicle very well. The thing is, I have money for this warranty, and to maintain the car, or replace gaskets and brakes, or to pay the $100 deductible this policy has. But I don't wanna have to have the money to cover a $14k timing chain replacement on a $15k car. I guess peace of mind that huge repair bills will be largely covered is worth about $4k to me, as a non mechanic/DIY bmw owner.
Did you end up going with endurance? Looking to pull the trigger myself. Got a 2015 335i with 30k miles.

I did. Seemed ok. Had it a month, decided I wanted to tune my car, cancelled it, tuned my car, traded it in for a 435, tuned it, traded it in for an m4, tuned it, and KEPT IT. Lol no warranty.

Indecision can be expensive

Nah it was literal regret once because I had an n26 that I soon realized was in the danger years, and then an offer I couldn't refuse for my dream car. But yeah, no warranty. Just tuned and fun.
