M sport steering wheel us car changed to single stage airbag.

Hi guys.

I can now confirm it is possible to change dual stage (US car) to single stage airbag( euro type) it's very simple to code.

I bought a used one from eBay with heating,paddle shift etc..and it was plug and play, price with airbag 350?

Here is what need to be changed over coding:

ACSM Module 3000
Function-airbag_fahrer_stufe_2-> set to nicht aktiv
Adaptive_airbag_fahrer_vent-> set to nicht aktiv

For some reason my passenger airbags both function airbag and adaptive passenger airbags also got changed automatic to nicht aktiv but it was easy to change to aktiv again and then reset the airbag fault.

You will get airbag fault and need to reset with tool 32 or similar.

Attached is pictures from the fault message and pics of the new steering wheel

I just bought a european M Performance steering wheel too and I noticed I cant code this using Bimmercode. What did you use to code yours? Thanks

I don't think it is as you have to code the control box.

So what is tool 32? Is that built into the E-sys or another program. I am also thinking of getting the steering wheel and want to be sure I have all the tools necessary.

Hey bro can you pm me? I can't send you a message I just installed the wheel and airbag paddles work and every other button just have a driver restraint system message on the cluster
