I'm also interrested in this. I've been looking at ewaying since its impossible to get an avinusa unit in europe. They seem to have android 9 and an 8 core cpu with 4gb ram and 64 gb rom. On paper its a great unit but does anybody have this unit? I wanna know if the screen brightness is ok during the day and if the software itself is smooth. I also noticed that when playing over Bluetooth on the original idrive the sound is less loud than on radio for example, how does playing sound from these units compare to for example radio on the idrive?

Man this is tempting for my F80. I had the Ugode unit previously in my E84, which was nice but a bit buggy and had the occasional "no signal" issue along with some spotty sound quality. Sounds like the new Avin unit has addressed these issues.

On the Avin at least, which is the PX6 unit, it's nice and smooth. Haven't experienced any UI slowdown or jerkiness at all yet and the screen is nice and easy to see during a bright sunny day which is a great improvement over my 7.1 unit. Sound volume is fine. As it uses the aux input on the iDrive side you can just up the volume of that so that it matches your other audio sources. |

Yes, mine all update. I don't know if you've seen my other post on the original thread regarding the BMW side of things where the screen is all a garbled mess no matter what car type I choose. Would you have any ideas on that as Avin are ignoring all my emails for support and I've only had the unit a week! |

A video of using one of these would be great. How does it interact with the stock BMW system? Radio, nav, car features like showing gas mileage, sport/comfort mode and things like that?

The BMW side of things is still there as-is. There's an option on the Android side to drop back to the BMW UI and when in the BMW UI you can just tap the screen to switch to Android. Or, you can just press and hold the menu button for a couple of seconds to toggle between the two. I like it because there's no compromises, you don't lose anything.

I'm in love with my unit! The only issue I have, is when I go back to the original BMW Unit the Sound from the Android side immediately stops. Only the sound of the Android's Navigation is coming through but only on left speaker somewhy?
I don't have that issue when I'm in the Android UI so it isn't big of a deal. |

No I think it's plugged it alright. I'm getting normal sound output if i'm in the Android UI. I believe the issue is software related.
