n55 fbo pwg rear exhaust soot
Should I be worried about my car? I am FBO with BM3 stage 2 e30 with bms intake, pure inlet, vrsf catless dp, vrsf race intercooler, er chargepipes, catback exhaust, and stage 2 lpfp 2013 BMW 335I PWG with 78K miles. Every once in a while when i kick it on the freeway i get a puff of smoke in the rear view from my exhaust and some soot speckles on the my rear bumper and trunk. I always change my oil at 5k miles at a local bmw dealer 0w-30 full synthetic with oem oil filter, still have factory stock spark plugs. please advise.

You are catless... soot and more visible smoke are to be expected.
The puff of smoke, assuming its just some black smoke consistent with fuel (not blue or white), when you first step on it is normal as that is from the fuel that is dumped in at tip in (assuming you dont have any other symptoms). Just watch any video of cars racing or just follow someone and have them floor it and you will see the same. |

oh dude, welcome to the club; I see that every time I stomp it. Kinda sucks to have to clean the soot off the bumper but well worth it when leaving scooby snacks, muffstains and others in the dust :P
