Extended Lug Bolts
Hey Everyone,
I am a new owner of a 2014 F30 335i M Sport (19" stock wheels). I have 15mm spacers for the front and 18mm spacers for the rear that I would like to put on the vehicle (These are from my BBS wheels I had on my prior e92, lets hope that they are not to big with the new stock m sport 19" wheels). I would like to order extended lug bolts online, but I'm not too sure what exact size lug bolts I'm going to need. Anyone that can help out that has knowledge in this vehicle, as well as wheel/wheel accessory knowledge, it will be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you! |

Find out the stock bolt length (do some research) and then add the width of the spacer. You can usually be ok if within 3mm or so, but make sure you get *at least* 6 full turns of thread engagement. It's also possible to get bolts that are too long: they'll seize the wheel and possibly destroy the hub threads = $1k per hub. Make sure you get conical faces if you are using aftermarket wheels.
