After market wheels - Reference point

Waiting for delivery of F30-320i. As the first order of business upon delivery will be to change the wheels, I need advise on the following.

Upon charting the sizes of the various wheel options available for F30, I find that the Outer Diameter across these options is not same.
I understand that OD is related to the speedometer reading and it is important to have it as close as possible to that of the original wheel.

With above in context,
1. What wheel size should I refer to - line option spec or ordered option spec
2. Do you think BMW programs their cars according to the wheel option to ensure an accurate speedometer reading
3. If above is true, has anyone tried reprogramming the codes following an after market wheel installation
