Napster and BMW Apps

So, picked up my 335d a couple of days ago. Incredible car.

But, query on Napster. When playing music in the car through the Napster app / BMW Apps that I HAVEN'T downloaded, does this stream come from my 3G data on the phone? Or is it through the BMW built in data link? Sat on my drive this morning playing about with uucant couldn't believe I have access to every song in the Napster library through the car search facility.

Not sure, haven't tried that but I guess you could easily find out by not connecting your phone (or not taking it to the car) and using Napster. If there is a dependency on the having the phone connected, then it's a fairly good bet that it's using your data plan.

It's coming from the data plan on your phone.
