Active Autowerke Exhaust or MPE for 328i

Hi, I'm looking to purchase an exhaust for my 328i.
I'm confused in deciding between getting the MPE or AA exhaust.
Although both are axlebacks, AA claims some power gain as compared to MPE.
The AA is listed at $699 and for the MPE, I can get one new for around
$800 on ebay if there is no used one for sale.
What do you guys recommend? The AA or MPE

Thanks

Not sure about AA but definitely wouldn't regret the MPE paired with a cat less downpipe. Sounds really aggressive as you take off and the little burbles when you let off. However it is on the quiet side without the downpipe.

Just an update, got my AA exhaust from x-ph. The exhaust was boomy at first but after a week, the sound become more refined.
I was surprised at how it was quite loud as I didn't expect much from an axle back and of course, my car being a 328i.
Overall, I'm impressed with it.

Here's a video of the cold startup I posted on youtube:

I was in the same exact boat as you. I purchased an AA for my 328i from Mike @ X-PH (throwing his name out for excellent service). Spent the evening installing it tonight and this. thing. sounds. SOOOO good. Very happy that I chose AA over MPE. I will be posting a install / initial impressions / sound clip thread very soon. Good luck!

Awesome

Get the midpipes and/or downpipes for a louder exhaust note

We have the AWE Quad on our shop car to good effect. Installing it was like clicking a Lego set together and it has the perfect tone IMO.

Just to check, MPE = M-Performance Exhaust, right?

Been looking at the AA exhaust, I've seen some videos on YouTube of it installed on a 320i (which is what I have), yet it states it's for the 328i, does anyone know if it fits on the 320i?

I shall take a look. Somewhat tempted by the Remus as well, perhaps a little more than the AA - it sounds a bit less rumbly on cold start.

Remus is another good option, a bit more expensive though
