Strange damage .......

Two weeks ago I noticed some very minor damage to the black window channel (the horizontal one) on the driver's door. 'Someone' had tried to cover it with a black marker pen. I showed this to the Warranty guy at my dealership. He said it was not a warranty item.

Now, this could only have happened whilst the car was in for repair for 6 weeks at the dealership (new front bumper and nearside Xenon damaged by an idiot reversing his mobile home into my parked car. Have a witness).

I've touched-up the damage pretty well with some Halfords Gloss. I've ordered the part (£47.63) but it is out of stock and will take 4 weeks at least to arrive. I'm really annoyed that 'that someone' did not own up. As far as I am concerned it could only have happened whilst the car was in the bodyshop.

Anyway, they are willing to fit the part FOC. Small mercy.

But I am still pretty pissed off.

Not possible. The marks are 3 in number and half the size of pin heads. Really strange.

I thought every inexplicable mark you find on your car was caused by the Wife. Isn't that a rule?

Part has arrived at last. To be fitted on Thursday next week.
I am sure the damage happened in the bodyshop or when the car was being washed by the dealer and the guilty party covered it with a black marker pen.
I am not pleased at all.
