I'm also waiting for my own still.

However, whenever I buy a new bit for my home system Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon is the first album I go for. After that some folky sounds, like early Neil Young or Johnny Cash, work well, and then some relatively clean guitar sounds like Dire Straits. Also, some Diana Krall or Melody Gardot go test the vocal character. I have eclectic/random music taste and some Drum & Bass normally gets thrown at a new toy along with some classical, Wagner for the gunships...

Most of my music is rock and metal, so this comes up on random more than anything. For anything remotely heavy any audio setup needs a few hours running, at least, before showing its true colours. Something else to run in...

Pure deep house is worth a listen, I love the HK

When I picked my car up the sales guy had just come off a training session, he says they recommend the amplifier settings to look like a C shape where the top slider is nearly max middle slider on central and bottom slider nearly max again, obviously the ones in between to create the C shape. Sounds pretty good to me ive not had to change it.

I always like to test the Stereo with, Radiohead high and dry (well the entire "the bends" really),hurry up and wait, matchbox 20 back2good, a bit of einaudi, November rain, chasing rainbows, radio gaga, five for fighting and some Killers...

I will be listening for a long time Monday week for me.

I absolutely love my HK!!! Will DEFINITELY have it on my next car(s)...
Totally agree. House music sounds great on the HK set-up. Try some soulful house to hear everything from the deep bass line to some sweet vocals.

That seems very extreme but I'll give it a go. Mine currently very near neutral with a notch or two boost to 100hz.

Pink Floyd sounds great and the helicopter in The Wall is a superb way of running the system in. Make sure there are no audiophiles around then urn the L7 logic on for the full experience

Clearly it's a matter of taste but, like many people, I've found the aluminium tweeters to be overly harsh.

Loathe as I am to use something as crude as a graphic equalizer to interfere with my hi-fi, this is a car so purity goes out the window somewhat! So...

...here are my settings.

Try " I'm broken " by pantera.

Note: don't try it after listening to a quiet song at high volume.......
