Wife's brake pads in her (F25) X3 need replaced.

My mechanic can do it.

Trust him more than my BMW garage. Two questions...

1. Car 2 years old - assume he's can do it and doesn't affect warranty?

2. What are recommendations on pads - do I need OEM or he suggested Brembo?

He can do it providing he uses genuine bmw parts. Should retain the warranty

Yes. Just go to the dealer and ask for the parts department

Aftermarket pads won’t affect any warranty mate, go with the Brembo pads or similar.
