Jacking points?
My car has hard plastic rectangular sections (small boxes) where you're supposed to jack the car up. Is there some sort of adapter available for when you're using a trolly jack (the car obviously doesn't have its own jack). I'm worried the round 'claw' on the trolly jack will distort/damage the plastic jacking point. There's nothing in the handbook about it.

Or just use a suitable off-cut of wood...

Depends what the end of the jack looks like. If it's a scissor jack then it would need to fit securely into the jacking points.

As said above, a small block of wood will do the job.
Or failing that, something like an old rag, folded a few times to use as a "pad". Swapped over to my winter wheels at the weekend and was done in half an hour. |

I don't think it's necessary using standard trolley jack just line up the jacking point in the centre of the cup and raise the car no damage is caused.
