Hi guys, anyone managed to enable High Beam Assist through the Bimmercode?
As per some forum guidelines, this is what has to be done: FRM/3050/FLA_VERBAUT/aktiv FRM/3050/FLA_AUTO_AKTIV/automatisch HU_CIC/3000/HIGH_BEAM_ASSISTANT/aktiv KAFAS/3015/FLA_ON_OFF/aktiv The last option (KAFAS/3015/FLA_ON_OFF/aktiv) is not available through the Bimmercode app (although the KAFAS folder is there since I have the KAFAS camera). When I coded the remaining 3 available options, my car displayed an error “camera based support systems failure”. I couldn’t clear the code through the Biimerlink either, it kept coming back. So I reverted the 3 options back to stock and the error disappeared. My car is an F10. Any ideas? |

I saw the earlier discussion on this. I think you need to use ESYS and a cable instead of Bimmercode.

Actually, you can use BimmerCode for enabling easy entry (i.e. moving the seat back upon exit) - I just verified it myself as I was curious (I previously coded it with E-Sys though). All of the necessary ECUs are available and you can quickly search and find the necessary parameters using Expert Mode. In fact, the demo mode (which is a sample of ECUs and parameters) has the necessary ECUs and parameters for this mod as well if you want to take a look before you actually code your car (at least the demo mode on my iPhone had it).
Keep in mind that there are slight variations between models and model years when it comes to which ECUs are actually installed in the car. Also, the current software installed in your car adds some variability as well (which is why in general it is better to have the most current software in your car from the dealer). As a result, when it comes to coding this mod (and some others) YMMV...

Obstacle warning gone
Got my obd-2 bluetooth connector and BC all working. Coded some things and worked fine. Had an error (little triangle with !) but got some clues from this thread and cleared it. However, the only thing that didn't work out is that now I've lost the Obstacle warning when rear camera is on in reverse. Left vertical menu 2nd to last option is now greyed out.
Any ideas guys? |

Before I did that I noticed that once in a while the PDC would not work but didn't throw up any errors. It's being looked at by SC now. Pretty sure that's what it is - if PDC doesn't work then it cannot sense any obstacles. Thanks for the input.

As far as using Bimmercode, if the parameters can be coded with E-Sys, they can be coded using the app. I verified that myself.

Battery registration
Anyone know if I can do the battery registration through BimmerCode? If so. What dongle do I need that will work with no issues and not too expensive.
Thanks |

I recently got my Vgate Bluetooth in the mail and used Bimmercode
I have the most basic Idrive system with no NAV no comfort access I was able to change the following: Removed all warning chimes and warning screens Digital speedo Red sport gauges ASD Off Tire pressure with temps Door handle lights on in reverse Easy seat entry Open Door @ ignition shut off (dont have to pull twice now) Radio/Idrive off with door opening (dont have to hit start/off twice) Smartphone ringtones I'm still undecided on doing the folding mirrors with lock/unlock... This thread plus a few others were a great help in coding these things...Thank you! Last edited by DarkStarBimmer; 07-14-2018 at 11:22 AM.. |

Hello,
I coded a 440 grandcoupe 2018 today with nbt evo to get Video in Motion using BimmerCode app. It was done properly and it worked, however my friend called me later today saying the i drive was rebooting every 3 to 5 minutes or so. Contacted to BimmerCode App developer and said it could be due to overheating inside the car, and in case necessary i could revert the coding with the back up option. Has anyone seen this before? I have read multiple threads regarding idrive rebooting and going to fix it from dispairing phone, updating software in car, taking car to dealer for warranty and so on. Obviously this was not happening to the car before today’s coding. Last edited by Ciram13; 07-13-2018 at 09:03 PM.. Reason: Typo |

I just used bimmercode and veepeak to code unlock doors on ignition off and radio off on door open. Two dumbest things BMW ever coded. Very easy to do and only $58 spent. Highly recommend. I did not mess with anything else. Some of the other coding seems to be more in depth. Those two items took 10 seconds.

I coded a few things tonight and all seemed to go well. One thing I noticed so far though is after updating the instrument cluster board computer to show digital speed it lost the time for the clock in the lower right section. When it comes on now it says "Set date and time." I can't figure out how to do this since in the iDrive system the time is still set...

I emailed Stephan at Bimmercode and he confirmed that he is working on this feature but does not yet have a release date. I'm hoping that by the time I need a battery he'll have it released. I love the app so far.
