Change Expert Setting FEM > 3060 > ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG and change the setting to: bremslicht_blinkend This will make lights blink. Then go to REM module. Change blink frequency to 5 times per second in regular mode REM if LED. For halogen brakes, leave 3. In REM Expert, Change in option 3062, MAPPING_BRAKEFORCE_L_OUTPUT to BL_L Do the same for R output by picking Bl_r. That changes blinking from fog light to brake light. |

Tried it myself. All good, dinan module was not touched so the tune was still the same.

So just about to dive into the world of Bimmercode on my new 340i... read a few horror stories about it wiping peoples iDrive/Nav etc.. I only want to code a few basics such as start/stop memory and radio turning off when I open the door. Should this be fairly low risk?

Coded a few things on my car today, one of them was "comfort closing delay" to 0... as I didn't want to have to press and hold the button on the key fob to fold in mirrors.
This works a treat and they fold/unfold as soon as I lock/unlock it. HOWEVER. When I use the button on the door (the little ridges) to lock the car they don't fold in? Do I need to change another setting for this or is it just not possible with comfort entry? |

Not familiar with the BMW system but this works perfect in my Toyota Highlander. I would imagine if I liked to pull right up on the bumper of the car in front of me it would be annoying but that’s not going to happen very often.

Does anybody know if the wired ENET adapter will be added to the Android app? I use a USB C -> Ethernet and it works fine with other applications.

A little something I learned this evening:
1. If you want to code launch control, go to transmission control unit / expert mode / 3000 Applikation / LC / aktiv 2. To code speed limiter (expert mode on each menu) ICM > 3000 daten, > SLD_Funktion > aktiv (nicht_aktiv is the default) ICM > 3000 daten, > C_Umschaltung_ACC_DCC > zugelassen (unterdruecken is the default) KOMBI->3003 FZG_Ausstattung, 10->SLD_ENABLE->aktiv (nicht_aktiv is the default) If you already have a button that says “LIM” then you already have the limiter. If you’re like me and you have the “SET” button (which sets the cruise control speed) this button will become your “LIM” button. Your “RES” button becomes your “SET” so you use this to set your cruise control speed. There is another line of coding to toggle between “SET” and “LIM” but my car doesn’t have it, some do. From what I can see the option to resume cruise control is no longer available otherwise. When using the limiter function it will engage at whatever speed you’re doing at the time you press it. If you’re at a standstill when you press it it will default to 20km or 30km. Therefore if you’re above it doing say 40km it will stick at that. Putting your foot hard down to the floor will allow you to override the limiter and it will return to the limiter speed when you ease your foot off again. V-Gate not recommended
Guys
For those using IOS I would strongly suggest you buy the ethernet adaptor cable and ethernet to OBD cable. It is far more secure & stable than any other adapter and buying both is also cheaper. Both are available on Amazon. |
