Catless Downpipe CEL delete

I'm contemplating on whether to get a catted or catless downpipe. I'm trying to lean toward the catless as it's usually cheaper and I'd love to be louder.

Anyways, if I were to get a catless, as getting a catted dp there would be no problem, what's the best option to get rid of the CEL?

Only a few fabspeed is one but you gotta pay lots for no cel but also can be coded out with mhd and other tuning solutions just depends on emissions where you are.

Be prepared for the smell with a catless. Some like it, some people tolerate it, others despise it. If you have no experience with a catless car, it will probably be stronger than you think.

Emissions is the other consideration. Flash tunes will hide the CEL, but you will not be able to pass emissions with a catless DP. You will not even be able to pass with the majority of the catted options either. Fabspeed is the reputable brand to "guarantee" no CEL and a pass. CG Precision and now the recently released AA should also pass emissions (AA guarantees and is EPA certified). Wager, ER, VRSF will definitely not based on user-reported CELs. However, those may still remove most of the smell.

Tunes like BM3 and MHD get rid of the CEL for catless but you won't pass emissions.

AA is supposedly an option now as well, for emissions compliance. CG precision is suppoedly another. AA was $850 with BF sales.

I ended up just ordering the fabspeed anyways with the BF sales

Just my 2 cents, I have had catless for almos two years. And the check engine light has been on the whole time with no issues. I planned on tuning after I got it and just never did and I'm finally fbo and will tune now but I personally had no issues and contemplated the vrsf CEL delete thing they have and I spoke with my mechanic and different people and they said it wouldn't do anything so I just left it. But also, I'm in Florida and don't have to worry about emissions

Indeed the secondary O2 CEL does not cause any driveability/performace/other issues, and can be removed with a tune.

The question is really about the smell and emissions, if applicable. Balancing that with the price difference between catted and catless is really what sways people one way or the other.
