a large dead spot on center and lack of feel.

i want my car to turn with any angles of the steering wheel even if the car feels twitchy. i want to feel the bumps on road and have my steering wheel jerk on potholes. and i want it to be heavy as heck to turn even in a parking lot. but that's not what softies want and there's a few of them here too.

if a BMW can feel this way... most other cars will end up feeling this way - and it's sad.

While I don't disagree that many of us have softie qualities, with a "wanted" description that precise, there are cars that meet that requirement. I don't understand why you would want "feel" to that degree and buy a 3-series built in this century. I had an E90 and it wasn't what you describe above, either. Perhaps an e30 with the hydraulic fluid drained out of the steering system? Honestly, I'm pretty sure you just described an STI with minor suspension mods.

If you want all of that AND to not have to deal with lower-market interiors (or whatever it is about an STI that caused you to not buy it), what you want is track-focused and deeply expensive (or maybe a Camaro ZL1), not a daily driver made by anyone I can think of.

have you driven one of these with variable sport steering? Its a pretty large improvement in steering feel over the standard F30 steering. This loaner 430i I am in has it and its a lot better.

It still throws me off sometimes. I usually toss my key into the cupholder then slide it closed and place my phone on top of it.

I'll park, turn off the ignition, grab my phone, and take off only to quickly realize my keys are still in the cupholders.

I'll get used to it, I promise. But yea, having comfort access + push start = a fun transition phase coming from a GMC Sierra.

Drive a Jetta. My 2016 rental will make you appreciate your/my F30 when I get it back. The steering is like a video game.

High beam assist, and never EVER having to manually dip my headlights on the open road. Until I forget I'm driving my wife's car.

The center wheel that most seem to hate; For example, in the winter, I can have cooler air blowing on my face yet keep that heat pumping from the floor. Genius. This is the first car I can wear my suit and NOT get hot/cold/hot/cold throughout the trip!

I was just remarking to that about my wife. Such a small (and divisive lol) feature, but so useful for people like us. I, too, wear a suit, and sometimes I jump in with jacket and all. Not sweating profusely but still keeping the cabin warm is awesome.

This matches my findings.

What about Prius owners makes you concerned about the earth and so disrespectful to all the fellow mankind you share the road with?

I do try to be courteous to other drivers, even if I drive fast in general.

Yeah well one of those Prius bastards sideswiped me THEN fought it! I'm in left lane, he moves over then blames me for "speeding too fast in the left lane not giving him a chance to merge". Took months to win that one because the moron then all of a sudden claimed "blind spot". Really? Yeah, I have a thing now with Prius drivers
