The main branch, of course, stays the same size. Make sure the wire gauge to that circuit is big enough to handle the main fuse size.
Thanks, gonna pick up some fuse taps this weekend.

I have the blackvue 2channel dashcam on order and wondering which fuse location to best tap into when deciding to hardwire with a power kit (motopark multisafer) unit.

MY15 320 will arrive next month so just pre-planning ahead. Owner's manual mentions two fuse box location: engine compartment area and cargo area.

Most likely would use the fuse box in the cargo area for easy access/install.

Looks like it's the second from the bottom left on the card, but it is marked as underside / service.. that would typically mean it has an inline fuse somewhere, but it's not a number on the fuse box..

The steering wheel has 48 & 55, but whether or not either one is the horn is not clear. The horn is not likely wired directly to the horn button, it likely goes thru a relay, so the draw will be less than 5 A at the wheel, which would fit that side of the circuit as 55. But that's a guess. The other side of the circuit is likely some inline fuse, but it's certainly not on the stuff printed on the card.

The Lighter fuses should be.. I don't think they are timed, but you can check that by hand. That would be 66 and 69 in the front and 162 in the trunk.

The 'Car-on-hoist' icon means it's not on the main fuse panel(s), which suggests that it is a dealer service item ... might be inline.

Thanks for reply... But that would be crazy stupid, on all other BMWs it was normal fuse...

The thing is that I did all hardware retrofit, and now need to connect wiring though dont know where, to which box etc.

I'm hardwiring a dashcam (blackvue 650) in my car (f30) and using a powermagic pro. I heard there are some issues but it came as a bundle. I'm trying to see what the issues are.

But I've currently wired it into the following fuses.

161 (headlights) for the always on
162 (rear cig lighter) for the ACC+

That sound about right? Or should I look for something with less amps?

Did you ever find out what fuse the door lighting uses? I have been searching for weeks and my new lighting is finally coming in tomorrow and I would like to tap the fuse so the extra lighting turns on an off the same time as these lights. Thanks

It looks like you have a 2017 120D.. The fuse maps I have are for an F32, if you look back up the thread. For the F32, Fuse 80 is located in the trunk (I guess that's the boot to you) wheel well*. Look on your fuse card to make sure it's in the same place.

I have a 2013 120D Msport and I have exactly the same fuse card as the one you posted located in the boot of the car. I am just trying to find the rear windscreen heater fuse.. I thought it was fuse 80 ?

Sorry.. I saw you just joined in 2017. Leaping assumption. It looks like it is fuse 80 by the symbol. I corrected my email above on the location for fuse 80, which is by the battery, as I recall. I'm working off a phone in Hawaii, so that's my excuse and I'll stick with it. Does that help?

Hi Lost Horizon,

I couldnt find the fuse 80 in the boot (Trunk) I saw the fusebox underneath the floor panel in the boot but it was not matching up with the fuse card. Weird.

Did you look in the wheel well panel in the boot? (i.e., problem solved?)
