Turn arrows when close to turning on screen

Hi all

It has been a long while since I went on a long drive a as I coded stuff like a backup camera I may have reset something.
I see turn arrows on my hud but I am sure the also showed on the screen whe you are close to a junction or round about.
I have looked through all the settings and can't see anything obvious.
Does anyone else get little pop up turn arrows on the main display

Thanks
Sully

Do you mean the cluster screen? In that case, it's either the HUD or the cluster, not at the same time unfortunately.

I only see the arrows in the dashboard display when I turn off the HUD.

Split screen route preview shows you turn info on HUD and main screen.

It might be split screen arrow view depending on the iDrive version.

Edit: sorry, just read the post properly and you mean the dashboard. No, I don't think you can get both at the same time.

I do mean the main screen in the middle of the dash. I found the split screen option but I thought (and could be wrong) the the main display would show image of the turn alongside the map.
Others have confirmed it didn't do this so must have dreamt it during lockdown

The split screen definitely shows turn information if you've got it set to arrow view or route preview. I'll post a pic later.

Yes like that, do you have to keep split screen on or does it change to that view as you get close

Pretty sure you have to keep split screen on, but I'll give it a try this evening and let you know.

I tried it without split screen. I still get the floating call-out box on the main map (the same as in the left half of the split screen pic I posted, where it says 10yd next to the arrow), but it doesn't switch itself to split screen at any point and I couldn't find an option anywhere that would do that.

ETA: The only thing I can think of that would automatically swap to a close up of the turn as you approach is if you've got automatic zoom turned on.

Really appreciate you looking into this in so much detail.
Will just switch stick to the hud display for the turn view. Like I said before I must have dreamt it but as I switched from an Audi to the BMW a few weeks before lockdown I didn't get to do much driving

Silly
