F31 xDrive Track Suspension Suggestions?

Hello, I am new to the F3x gang. Coming from an E36 and E30 this is quite the jump in technology. My F31 does not have the M-Adaptive suspension.

I have read quite a few posts here on the forums about xDrive suspension but some of the posts are 1 to 2 years old and suggestions seem to be all over the place for a good track setup.

The goal is a full adjustable suspension that would be more than suitable for the track and not too harsh for daily driving, if that exists!

Ohlins RT. They now support xdrive. Full stop.

But you do also have Bilstein B16 and Klubsport, KW V3 or clubsport (I think youd have to call them for xdrive support).

Then you have bespoke options (Feal Suspension, Flatout Suspension, Fat Cat Motorsports and FaRKle!).

I looked at their website last week.

Edit. Looked as the US site must now and no indication. Swedish site says rwd only. Maybe I was over exhausted, (2wk old newborn), but k was surprised myself because I almost bought them righr there.

I recall seeing xdrive listed on another website, maybe it was XLR8, and checking the Ohlins website to confirm.

Congrats on the newborn! Sorry about the sleep deprivation. Agh! I had to nix the crib in the master bedroom. Impossible to tag team to help each other with an infant, and function, if neither parent is getting sleep.

Thanks! Her nursery was set up before she even arrived, but we just haven't come to want to let her sleep in there without us yet . The cost is good sleep

I was just noting that about the clubsport. I don't think I've seen any xdrive guys run them. If someone is that hardcore about the suspension then they likely have rwd anyway

Ah. I just looked, they dont have any for the clubsport for xdrive. Granted the V3 is a solid choice to run as well. Most of us who run the x-drive do it for the launch or for the weather. I'm sure the auto-x guys could use it too but I havent talked to them about it yet. They do offer a competition series though. I know exactly zero about those though

I am looking at somewhat of a similar issue. I have an f30 335i xdrive with adaptive M suspension. After doing some research I am leaning towards Eibach and Dinan lowering springs. Check out the video below why I thing lowering springs could be a great option for stock adaptive dampers. If anybody has already tried this out, let me know your thoughts, because I am about to order the springs.

Tried that (Eibach springs on adaptive dampers w/ Dinan Shockware), and went to passive aftermarket setup later.

The adaptive dampers, or more the algorithm determining the damping, aren't capable of keeping up with the car on track. Car settles much more quickly with aftermarket dampers. This is most noticeable in quick left/right transitions.

Thanks for the feedback. It makes sense. I am not planning to track this vehicle , so do you think it would be an improvement at least on the street?

Why did you post in the F31 track suspension thread if you don't have an F31 and aren't going to track then? Just baiting for video clicks?

*EDIT* you are just a YouTube baiter looking at your post history.

Did the street comforts come out for xDrive or just the V series?

KW has full line I believe for Xdrive F31. I have the V1's on mine. I've used KW on several different chassis over the years and I have to say they are the best compromise between comfort/handling and aesthetics in my opinion.

Also , incase anyone does have the M adaptive suspension, any competent coder can code it out so emulators are not necessary.

Although the set-up data suggests it is G series xdrive only - can anyone confirm please

Contact Madeno Racing in the Netherlands if you live in that area. Leo vd Made custom adjusted an Ohlins R&T set for my F31 XDrive.
