Good wax-as-U-dry sprays?

I'm almost out of the Turtle Wax spray I use after rinsing the car off at the DIY $2.00 wash. I'd buy it again, but what do you use? Is the Meguiar's ceramic spray that much better ($20 vs. $5 for TW) in longevity or glossiness? Are Chemical Guys' products a good choice?

As a quick wax spray, I use Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax. I do use a lot of Chemical Guys products as well, specially their compound and polishing products. I use the Griot's spray wax after a maintenance wash. I use Chemical Guys Jet Seal and Zymol's Carbon Wax on more involved cleaning, generally every 4-6 months.

Adam's H20 Guard & Gloss does an excellent job. Can be used as you dry the car or on its own. Use it on paint, trim, wheels & even glass. https://adamspolishes.com/shop/exter...ard-gloss.html

i was trying out the meguiars ceramic hybrid wax and stopped using it. It was creating almost a buttery feel to my paint and pollen would stick to it like glue. Yes, water beaded right off but any dirt or pollen or etc was attracted to it. I removed it and switched back to just collinite 845 as my wax and using meguiars quick wax to aid in drying after blowing the car off with a leaf blower.

We get pollen twice a year, and that's bad enough. But the awful humidity here makes everything stick to my cars' paint. Sounds like the ceramic stuff is a no-go for me.

Well then there's a new product for you! Got an email about it last week - haven't tried it. What will they think of next?!

Their spray-on wax sounds good; they trumpet that they are located in S. Florida and that their products are formulated for hot, humid environments. Are their microfiber towels good too?

i would stick with your turtle wax and if you're not using seal and shine from them definitely get it! in general mckee's makes great products and if i'm not mistaken they are created by autogeek themselves. i would see what reviews are out there about it before purchasing, but like i said stick with the turtle wax unless you are looking for something specific then i can better recommend something for you.

My Walmart didn't have any TW spray yesterday, so I plumped for the Meguiar's Gold Class spray. All set for a while.

Don't use Meguiars hybrid wax like a spray wax. It will make cleaning worse. Use it as if it's a real ceramic coating. If you keep using it without preparing the surface it will eventually turn your paint into a silicone cactus that catches everything.

Wash/rinse/clay/alcohol wipe/apply with an applicator/polish/let cure overnight then wash your car normally and don't keep spraying it on like they tell you. They just want you to use it up.

Twice a year? Sissy. My pollen season starts in April and lasts through mid July.

I seal with Jescar Power Lock, wash with Optimum No Rinse. That's it. When my bottle of ONR is empty I'll give Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax a try.

Have a look at G-Techniq C2 - Its a light spray on liquid crystal coating that can also be used as a drying aid.

Fantastic product

Bilt Hamber Auto-QD, can apply wet or dry, I used to use AutoGlym Aqua Wax, but prefer the Auto-QD.

I just got some of this TriNova waterless wash and wax:
https://www.amazon.com/TriNova-Water...s%2C178&sr=8-1

It works, and smells, like ONR, so I think it's a similar formulation. The difference is that you spray it on, wipe it off, so it takes half as long as a full ONR wash. If it's really dirty I'll still use ONR, and use the TriNova between washes. The price seems high, but you mix a half ounce of the product with 15 ounces of water, so it's enough to last at least a year.

Has anyone tried the Mothers CMX Ceramic spray yet? I got some bc it looked cool lol and reviews weren't terrible, so far so good. It gave my car a nice mirror look but not sure its going to last long since a review/stress test had it coming off quicker than the Megeuir's.

I'm happy with it so far though, I was wondering about Griots as thats the Autozone house brand now it seems, I saw one poster said it was good.

My exes Dad was obsessed with detailing and had a bunch of special mixes of carnauba and polishes he got from Autopia - the blend he made for me has sat for like 4 years, do you think its okay to use? Still is a liquid, no chunks or anything. When I used it on my TDI years ago it made my black car pretty much invisible it was so shiny.

GTechniq C2v3 amazing ceramic based spray coating that lasts for several months. It can be used on all exterior surfaces. It can also be used as a drying aid after a wash.
