Intermittent "Cruise Control Malfunction" looking for part

I'll randomly get the cruise control Malfunction on my 2014 328d for a bit and then it'll go away. At first it was once in awhile now it's everytime I drive somewhere. After some googling the recommending fix is replacing the SZL. Does anyone have more information on where to buy a replacement or maybe a different fix?

Thanks

I think the best plan would be to read errors in all the modules with a BMW oriented scanner first. That way you can know for sure.

Hello,

I had the same issue on my F21, the paddles would also stop working intermittently.

I can confirm changing the complete stalk unit fixed the issue for me. You just need to ensure the one you fit is from a car with the same options, such as auto wipers, cruise and paddles etc.

Did you purchase the SZL and install it yourself or take it to a dealer?

I bought a used part with the same part number as mine and fitted it myself, only took around 20 minutes to do and no coding is required on the replacement SZL. It's been absolutely fine since.

Would you be able to provide a url or part number? TIA

Yeah, if I could get that part number too that would be great or a general idea of where to find it for your VIN/model.
