Interesting... so looks like F10 (NBT?) MCU is completely different in that aspect. Mine just switches off 2sec after I shift to D and PDC sensors are still making noise, PDC button is lit up, but Android is no longer showing PDC screen. I recorded a video comparing both Android and OEM behaviour, sent that over to Andream and all I got in return was that message say "this is normal".

That's nice.. usually it has to do with newer options and some fixes and or more support for the canbus and other types of cars etc.

I always welcome those newer mcu files and img's.. it means there is still some hope & support behind the sunset for these al cheapo chinese headunit's.

Ps: today and for no reason whatsoever, the navi sound went off, after i got back home and restart the car after 30 minutes, it was (did) fine again.. there is and always was something weird with these things.

You can solve it by connecting the cable for camera enable signal to the 12v of your pdc module.
With that the system will think that you still have reverse gear and will be on till the PDC shuts off.
Maybe after that you must enable the aftermarket camera to function correctly.
I had this configuration with my old 8.1 unit and was working flawlessly.
I do not know if the system is different in Android 10 but give it a try, it needs some wiring but you can achieve what you want without software upgrade.

Yeah, I was thinking about that but this is not an elegant solution if you know what I mean. It would work flawlessly but this is something that should be implemented on the software level... and actually is easy to do, but just Chinese devs are not getting our feedback via sellers.

Don’t use GPS splitters. You’ve hit the nail on the head with different voltages. It’s widely reported that splitting the GPS signal from the car causes instability.

Indeed.. you already have mentioned it in your previous post, the problem is the splitting and different in the voltage supply, usually in such case you hear some pop sound from the speakers coming, as our forum mates also they not recommended.. here's what you should to try: remove the car gps / splitter. connect it to the supplied gps and see if you get rid of the problem? simple to find out.. right?

i'm almost sure you'll get rid of that pop sound.

I'm having this problem too (also already said in this forum).

At the moment the only "manual" solution is to touch "PDC" button and then will work as espected, then this is why I think with MCU update the Chinnese enginer can fix the problem, I don't think that we need to wire to PDC button to fix it.

Yes it isn`t an elegant solution but it is a fast and permanent solution.
These guys hear our problems but the prefer solving issues with the next generation of the units.
ex iDrive integration to work in all apps , in Android 8.1 this is not happening but they did it in android 9 , although they could do it with a software update.
That for i think that this will be the solution !

Hi all,

Today I upgraded from android 9 to 10 as discribed first to 1.2.0. after first boot, wat went fine I updated to 2.3.0 and now it stucks (bootloop?) on logo connectdrive. I won't boot into Android. The oem bmw is working fine.

Anyone had this issue as well and solved this? The tip on the first page in this topic to change the ota file name doesn't work... After 10 minutes still de logo and no reboot.

Hope someone can help me .

Any ideas?

probeer het volgende maar ff:

try this: go to recovery mode of it, from there do the wipe things and restart it and wait until it's done with his things, be patient.

try another sd (or use an usb!) card.. mostly in such case it has to do with a bad sd card and of course format it to fat... you know.

Hoi / hello,

nee, hoe krijg ik hem in recovery mode? Android deel start niet op.

How to get it in recovery mode. I can't boot the unit into Android. I discovered a reset button in the back of my Mekede unit but it is only turning it of and wenn i puss another time it shows the bwm connectdrive logo again but noting happens. Pussing the button for 30 sec won't also not help.

What i tried:
Disconnecting power on the battery
Short press reset button
Long press reset button (30 sec +)
USB changing the OTA Package name
