Your FULL maps of Europe are 2018-4, but it has automatically updated your GB & Ireland maps to 2019-1 over the air

So if I were to update with USB maps, which I am subscribed to for 3 years will I get a full update on Europe maps or is the 2019-1 auto update the best I get?

Check connected drive, all depends on the HU, I have NBT EVO and I am on 2019-2

I believe the newer 2019 maps are split into East Europe and West Europe due to the size of the files.

Yes to update the whole European maps you need to do it via download manager and download via a USB stick as the file is about 30GB, far too big to download over the air.

Should probably bring you up to Europe EVO 2019-2 which is the latest EVO map for Europe/UK

Okay...
I only had USB downloads with my 3 series, so have done it several times before, so will do that then. Thanks.

Went onto my BMW download manager and it was showing 2019-2 Europe maps available to download. Did the download and varification and in was 30.99 gb in size and my 32gb memory stick was too small so just ordered a 64 gb stick. Will try again when it arrives.

Yeah, the overhead of formatting. I have a 64Gb stick for mine - when it's formatted there's only 61.5Gb available.

Yup, same for me but the sandisk card I bought came with 6 months of Tidal for free 😊

Got my new 64gb USB memory stick. Downloaded the 2019-2 Europe update but when I tried to put it on the memory stick it said that the format needs to be FAT32. The only options on the memory stick is exFAT or NTFS. Tried to format the memory stick in FAT32 through Powershell but it said the memory stick was too big. Going to try and load it onto the stick in NTFS and see if that works. Anyone had this problem?

I have downloaded it now onto the 64gb memory stick in NTFS format, so will see if that loads to the car. If not I may have to download a third party program and see if that works.

If you know someone with a Mac you can use Disk Utility to format a 64Gb stick using FAT32, that's what I did.

Today I got round to updating my maps via USB to EUROPE EVO 2019-2. I had downloaded it onto a 64gb memory stick that was formatted in NTFS, as I couldn't format it in FAT32 as stated on the download. The memory stick was too big for FAT32. Anyway, it recognised the update and installed it as normal....
NTFS works fine!
