Hello everyone! Hope everyone's day is great and your car is well maintained.

My car is needing a new FEM. I have a 2013 3201 X-Drive.
What do I need to look for or make sure of when buying one?

I was attempting to install an M-Sport wheel with paddle shifters.
Followed the Kies video and messed something up.
Turn signals don't work, no high beams, no horn, and my windshield wipers WONT turn off. Etc I think that's mainly it.

The shop I took it to says it needs a new FEM.

I appreciate your help.

Are you sure 100% that FEM die? Do you have enet to give someone to check it?

To me it sound like the wrong type of stalks-are you sure that the version is pre LCI?

That’s what they told me. They said they were not even able to Code it. I don’t have an Enet cable but I can get one

Sorry I don’t understand your question.
My car is a PRE LCI.

Did you change the stalks as part of the upgrade? That is what I was asking - not clear question-sorry.

Even paddels has to be coded-it is not just a HW upgrade.

You should also have a read out of error codes made with ISTA

Did you try coding with Bimmerpost/ Carly?

So in the Kies Video to do the M'Sport wheel w/ paddles, you have to run a wire from the FEM to SZL.
From the FEM A1737B (pass side foot area) i had to add a wire in pin #5.
From there it goes to the driver side into the SZL pin #3 A832B.
