There's usually a rule for these threads: Timeslip/video or it didn't happen. Just sayin.

EDIT: I know, I'm a noob on this forum. Flamesuit engaged.

A lot of important details missing there. The actual run, the grade of the road, E85 mix?

Not to be a D-bag naysayer, but a lot of the 12 second claims don't seem to have much proof to back them up.
I love the F30, and will be getting a 328i for my wife as soon as I get home from deployment (already have the suspension waiting for it, lol) but it's a 14.0-14.2 car stock. Maybe a random 13.9 here and there. Regardless, it takes ALOT of power to wack 1.2 seconds off an ET, even if you add slicks or DR's in the process.

I'd love to believe with just a stage 2 tune and test pipe/exhaust the 328 is a 12 second car, but that's a bit far fetched. Maybe with E85 and some DRs or slicks. But on pump in street trim?

We need more people to actually go to the track and video these claims before they are noteworthy.

We have seen 13.5 out of stage 1 software on 91 octane, so stage 2 plus tbe and some e85, should do it. I think another guy with a Vbox recorded high 12's with bolt ons on stage 2 as well. Its always good when there is more than one source, less likely to be a fluke.

The 335 with PPK has broken into the high 12's, that's about 300whp and 150lbs heavier than the 328. So with some of the BmS maps showing 300whp, the math is here is there to support high 12's on a 328.[QUOTE=Helli217;15058723]

Those are his mods in the link bellow as for the fuel I will try to ask him..I would have made videos on my car curious about timing with my simple mods (jb4, dp, muffler) but since I'm stuck with RON92, I am stuck with map1

As I said before, I believe with E85 and the proper tuning the high 12's are possible, I just don't think we're going to see the average 328i with stage 2/downpipe/exhaust running 12's.

E85 changes things immensely. For most this isn't considered a normal setup though, as some don't want to run E85 in their car all the time, and others simply don't have the access to it even if they wanted to. I am one of those people.

Regardless, for a 2.0T, low 13's to 13 flat with a simple stage 2 setup on 93 octane is no less than impressive...and makes for a fun daily. I can't wait to get my old lady up to the track running hers.

Guys.... I did a 12.6 the other day with my F20 125i. I do not have to prove anything to anyone. My car makes 250kw at the flywheel. Trust me when I say I did a 12.6 1/4 mile.....

What do u guys think is the best launch technique ?;

1) Method One;

Sport Mode
Launch @ 2000-2500 RPM
A/T gear changes (i.e. @ Redline)

2) Method 2;

Sport + Mode (DTC ON)
Launch @ 2000-2500 RPM
A/T Gear changes (i.e. @ Redline)

3) Method 3;

Sport or Sport + Mode
Launch @ 2000-2500 RPM
Manual Gear change (But shift @ what RPM so as to utilizing the maximum juice available in the powerband)

Also the ever confusing Q;

Is there any difference in Sport & Sport + Modes as far as;

1) Engine Performance/Pick up
2) Gear shift speed

Or is it just the DTC ON that's different ?

PS - Have a Drag event coming up this weekend, kindly give your inputs, Thanks.

Thnx.

Did a few practice launches today.

Sport mode @ 2-2.5k rpm with all systems off gives too much of a wheel spin & shoots rpm to 5.5-6k on leaving brake.

Sport + (DTC ON) @ 2-2.5k rpm gives a much smoother rubberband launch.

Will do a few more practice launches tomorrow morning to be understanding what is most suitable.

Any more inputs are welcome.

Lol, sure. I was simply stating that on every other forum Ive ever been a member of, claims of ET/trap are ignored unless you post a video or slip. I was not calling you out in particular, and didn't quote you. This whole thread is full of written claims. Lots of people tell the truth. Even more people lie and exaggerate. That's why these threads usually have a rule to post proof. Which you did. Nice runs btw.

Get the OBDII and connect it bluetooth/wifi to your android/iphone and use torque pro app it works like charm, don't use the free version it's not that good.. I have it and it's fair accurate not like the vbox of course but will give you close numbers and other readings too on your car.

It's just fun drag race so we didn't count the time, i think around 14s(almost 13s)but with 3 adults people

Me using speedbuster+downpipe & coded LC VS 335 mppk

although i win by start alot with LC but i like how 328 modded high speed is on par with 335 mppk
