No!
IronX! Repeatedly, if required.

He's talking about what to do after the brake dust eats away the finish and leaves the little pits in the paint. Brake dust is actually corrosive in the right conditions and will eat away at the finish. I had this issue in some very tight corners of the wheels on my E46.

IronX will only remove the brake dust from the pits. It can't fill in what is no longer physically there.

This brings up a good point. I might try an IronX-like product too on those trouble spots.

I would try an old clay bar also before I jump right into sanding to try and remove the baked on stuff.

I have yet to see rims on a relatively new car so neglected that they'd need sanding! Chemistry works, guys! Clay bar is also a very good idea.
