Mandang Umaga!

I plugged in a JB+ and switch between the AFE drop in filter and the BMS billet intake.

There just isn't much available for the B48. Hopefully that changes soon!

I wound up applying CQuartz to help keep the black car clean.

Did you notice a difference between the JB4 with stock air filter and when you added the intake? Did you happen to dyno with and without the intake? I keep reading folks saying intake does nothing for performance, but BMS boasts up to 8whp by adding it. TIA

Just picked up my 18' B48 330i. Was a little disappointed to see the lack of options we have in terms of mods, but I did place an order for a decatted downpipe from Armytrix so we'll see how that goes. Once installed I'll upload a clip.

Hey here what I got now

Power:

JB4, +BT, +EWG,
JB4 progressive meth control system with CM3 + CM7
Stage 2 Flash by TMC 22psi (~22psi 3-5k, ~20psi at 6500RPM)
FTP Charge Pipe
ARMA Carbon Intake
Unrestricted DP

Others:

KW V3 Coil Over
18' forged wheels, (28kg vs stock 44kg)
Lithium Battery (8kg v stock 23kg)
AP 9440 4 pot, on fronts only with 330 floating disc (21kg vs 29kg stock)
Carbon Strut bar

Still Considering:

Cat-back , 55mm stock pipe may be restriction so looking for options here
Hood, stock is 17.5kg, wet carbon hood are like 12-13kg so basically for looks not weight
M2 Control Arms, for a bit more negative camber
LSD, hard to find for reasonable price as our diff gears are welded on

Those figures are "engine" power extrapolated from the dyno right ? What were the figures to the wheels ?

Engine power from dyno is very ... bullshitty, the dyno operator inputs an adjustment factor to get from wheel figures to engine figures, this is just a made up adjustment pulled out of thin air.

i wish it'd switch to whp industry wide as whp is what truly counts. i've always felt subtracting drivetrain losses from bhp(crank) to obtain whp is kinda lame. it'd be better from an insurance standpoint as well since whp value is a lower number.

regarding OP post i'd add a FTP intake pipe, Active Autowerke catted downpipe and flash tune.

if stock intake...https://www.ftpmotorsport.com.tw/pro...ipe-inlet-pipe
if aftermarket intake...https://www.ftpmotorsport.com.tw/pro...ll-intake-pipe
https://store.activeautowerke.com/co...atted-downpipe

I've had my car dyno'd two different times with different mods on the same dyno. Both times ambient temperatures were around 94°. When I dyno'd on BM3, the dyno wasn't working well so I'm sure I make more out of it.

Yep. it'd be easier for everyone.

Stock run was 210whp. Flashed stage 1 and both showed 233whp. So 23hp gain. I was happy with it. I thought about stage 2 but I really don't want to install a catted dp (emissions checks in my area still).

Nice mods, any idea of what power you have?

Interested in hearing what issues you had with your BMS billet intake. I just removed my MST "cold-air" open intake today, and honestly believes the car runs better.. Had a weird feeling about the intake. Replaced it with the OEM filter-case and a KN drop-in filter.

They are from the dyno yes. Although i only use the same guy to do my dynos, in roughly the same enviroments. The first tune i had was from a pretty big tune company called BSR, in scandinavia, promising 284hp/432nm (completely stock car)

I ran a dyno back then and it had 265hp and 442nm, so imo it was "pretty" close..

And now, with all my mods, same place, same guy, same enviroment, had 300hp..
Buuuuut yea its hard to get an exact idea of how much.

Theres a company close to me that has a Dynojet dyno - but i'm lacking feedback and information about whether its more precise or just another roll by the dices.....

Seen people at 25psi no idea if reliable. 20 psi seems safe but low 20s can’t hurt. No idea on safety for your internals.
