B58 mppsk vs N55 mppk

Hi,
I had a 2014ix that i had installed mppk. It really woke the car up and I could feel a big difference before and after install. The exhaust had no drone in comfort or sport. I now have a 2016 340ix that recently had mppsk installed. I could barely feel a difference in power and the exhaust drones even in comfort. Needless to say I'm very surprised and disappointed.

When I installed my MPPK Tune on my 2014 335i, I was disappointed at first, it started running stronger each time I drove, took two full tanks of gas for full adjustment of computer. The drone could be if you are driving in sport mode, the exhaust bypasses the muffler and you may have drone, put into comfort mode on the highway for valves to close and go back through muffler.

Engine feels slightly more alive and a nice kick of torque at the bottom. My rear wheels never used to break on me on a WOT run, now they do.

I had the same drone issue and hated it. I turned off the "Active sound design" (pumped in fake audio) And it almost all went away. I almost think it's too quiet, especially with the windows up!

Coding. Either enet or something like Bimmercode will work just fine.

I coded my ASD out as well. I don't have any drone in comfort. Sport and sport + drone around 2K RPM but that's about it.

Mppk vs Mppsk

I could not live with the mppsk tune. I had the bm3 tune installed. The car feels way stronger. It is now more fun to drive. The power is all throughout the rev band and is very smooth and driveable. I highly recommend the bm3 tune. Unfortunately I still have drone in comfort mode when the revs are below 1800 rpm.

Did you have anything else done besides mppsk before doing the bm3 tune??

I can run both tunes.

Mppsk Feels very similar to stock but stronger

Bm3 has way more power than mppsk especially down low. It runs 17 lbs plus vs a bar.

Garage List
MPPSK is an amazing exhaust HW option but pretty tame when it comes to power. Flash BM3 or MHD and get the best of both.

I just had mine installed, and comfort doesn't have any drone at all. I've read that sometimes the exhaust makes contact with the heat shield, which might cause vibrations/rattles/drone. You could maybe ask your dealer to take a look at it. They would be able to see any contact points and adjust the exhaust accordingly.
