JB1 to BM3-1 Worth the cost?

I know it's all relative but has anyone found moving from a JB1 to BM3-1 worth the cost / effort?

Thanks

I went from Dinan sport to BM3 stg. 1 and it was definitely worth it. Much smoother, cleaner power delivery.

Thanks for the update, you've almost sold me

I see you've also followed it to stage 2 with the VSRF gear.

What are your thoughts on going from stg 1 to 2?

How is the VSRF gear?

I have the VRSF 5 inch HD intercooler on my car and for what i could tell build quality is good and its held up very well after 3-4 months of use. if your looking for an intercooler for just spirited street driving this one is perfect.

The Stage 1 to Stage 2 jump was quite a big one, in power and almost equally in sound . Fairly significant bump in power that was noticeable as soon as you give it any kind of gas beyond just putting around, and acceleration is much more exciting because it's pretty loud at WOT. I've been saying I will for a while, but soon I will write a full comparison thread going from stage 1 to stage 2.

As for the VRSF stuff, the FMIC is great, I just had to cut the fan shroud clips a little to make it fit. Otherwise, fitment and performance are both fantastic. The DP however, required custom work in order to make it fit because it was pretty far off, so that was a pain. I would definitely recommend the VRSF FMIC, but I'd fork over the extra $100 for a DP you are sure will fit properly (ER). VRSF has said they're making manufacturing revisions on the DP but I'm not sure if they're out yet. If so, give 'em a shot, if not, think about other brands.

worth every penny and ounce! no need to fiddle around with hooking up wires and risk shorting out your DME.

Also went from dinantronics sport to stage 1 here, worth it all the way, the power delivery, and it pulls harder, if you already have exhaust you will get some burbles even. The platform is awesome to play around with. I feel much better cause it's an entire remap of your dme, not a piggyback which is just tricking the dme into raising boost.

I went from a JB Stage 1 to a BM3 Stage 1 93 Octane and it is DEFINITELY worth. My main points:

- It is so much smoother just generally driving around.
- Under WOT there is no shift lag.
- Consistent power delivery
- No hesitation in low RPM

I actually find for general town driving, I now hang around in 5th gear (sports+) at 60kmph and can just stay in that gear (can even cruise around in 6th). When stock and JB stage 1, I'd stay in 4th just to get throttle response and minimise the slight hesitation.

I have purchased the OTS map bundle and will likely get a HF Cat and chargepipe shortly to go Stage 2 but quite content for now.

DO IT!
