Outside Temp Sensor Location...

Little niggle since I got the car, always shown -40 on the temp. Anyway bought a new one months ago but when I went under there was nowhere for it to sit, it's a sport with m sport front bumper and presume nobody wanted to do it properly.

Has anyone a picture from the top that can point me to a rough location as to where I should be looking for the plug on the loom end? Then I can do a holder from there!

Is the sport and m sport same location?

I’ve not looked specifically on mine, but historically, BMW fit the outside temp sensor in the left side brake cooling duct.

It’s possible your bumper has been off at some point, and someone forgot to plug it back in.

Yeah I’ve gone from standard to m sport (prior to purchase) but I can’t even see any wires dangling down! So wanted to see where I can trace the cable back to where it should be coming from if that makes sense!

Located my sensor tonight! Was tucked away near the headlight! Not sure why! Anyway fitted the new one, put it in the proper slot on the bottom plastic etc. Started car... still -40! Got back under it and made sure it was all fitted nice and snug, still nothing!

Does anything need to be reset?
