I made the switch from my facelift e46 325ci to a 435i m-spot as well, and oh lawdy, I love the switch. I think both cars still look great (similar to your e46, you took care of yours too). The size of the interior definitely changed, but the seats in my F32 are astounding in the way they hold you in. The size of the car is a lot larger, and definitely holds another type of presence that I feel is more comparable to the E63 chasis. I still drive my E46, and I consistantly remind myself that the slow car fast philosophy is better when I do drive it. I hope that you enjoy your F32, it's an astounding car inside and out. I think it was the best switch because I hate the 1/2 series and the e90/e92 (unless its an M3) because of their look and feel or lack thereof.

that e46 is gorgeous. It will always be one of my favorite bimmers. I think the f32 still has to grow on me. I have to see more of them in person. That being said, they're both absolutely beautiful.
and out of curiosity, did you add the paddles to your e46 or did it come like that from the factory? I've never seen one with paddles

Thanks for the replies!! As for the paddles, those were factory because this is the "SMG" 330ci. After reading around when I first bought the car, other terms that may apply are "SSG" or "SMG I" i think! Apparently the transmission isn't nearly as top notch as what came on the e46 m3 SMG but i still definitely enjoyed it.
As for the F32 it's been about a month since I've had it and I continue to enjoy it every single day. I still have the E46 but just posted it for sale. So we'll see how that goes! |
