However, I do have factory EBT and extra USB functionality. Also, I have managed it from a Mac with no issues. Though, I can't remember when or on what the USB stick was last formatted... OP What are the BT issues you are trying to resolve?

Update and Resolution:
So a little bit delayed but I eventually made it to the BMW dealer. The specialist was a little bit confused as he had not seen anything like it before. Confirmed that the USB was working and that the software had been completely wiped off the car! Asked me to book in for a diagnostics check and a new and complete software upload(not just an update). Dropped car off at the garage and the diagnostics check was completed followed by reprogramming. Bit by bit, the reprogramming didn’t fix the initially programming so the entire car was put through a reprogramming overnight. So found out the following morning that during the reprogramming, the head unit died! Yeah, died! The guy I was dealing with was top notch, he was in contact with BMW in Germany and a replacement head unit was being covered by BMW as a goodwill gesture. On Day 3, the head unit was replaced and Bluetooth is back up and running. The multimedia – USB option is also working. As BMW covered the cost of the head unit and time, I only paid for initial diagnostics and time during diagnostics as they honoured my initial quote. Very lucky! The BMW dealer and in particular the guy I was dealing with was super to deal with. Very lucky. |

Strange I have the same message when I tried to update the software a few months ago, I don't have NAV either.
However my Bluetooth works fine, my phone and friends phones connect without issue. Am I missing out on something? |

Well if you go through the steps form the earlier posts and failing that, diagnostics in the BMW dealer. My head was melted from this!

They screwed my head unit while trying to load software so you may just have a software issue! |
