If it is a daily issue, take it in. Keep in mind that the dealership must be able to duplicate the issue if they do not find any codes stored in the DME.

I have the same thing going on right now...dealer can't get me in until next Thursday. But I started having long cranks too, so hopefully they can take care of the SES light and look at my HPFP too.

Strange for a 325 to get an SES light.
Do you have an aftermarket intake?>

No don't worry about it. It's just a warning light. Pretend it's not even there

my car has the exact problem. My SES light turned on and off twice over a 4-5 day period. I actually took it in to the dealer (when the light was off)and they said it just needed a software update. Got my car back yesterday, and the light just came back on just now. Anybody have an idea?

I had an SES light last week on my 328. I read on the forum that loose gas cap was one of the issues, so I resealed the cap. After a few drive cycles, it went away..so maybe that could help?

I read that too, however I made sure that wasn't the problem.

i had my 335i for 4 weeks now. brought it in 4 times for the SES light going on. 1st time they changed out all the spark plugs. 2nd time they replaced my HPFP. 3rd time they upgraded my software. and this 4th time they are draining all my fuel to see if the cause is from something in the fuel. but all the times my SES light when on i had no problems driving the car. any ideas fellas? other than it being a lemon. lol
