Going to Touchless Carwash, What "Package" to Go With?
So im going to my first touchless carwash this weekend. Car is extremely dirty and tbh, just dont feel like hand washing it. The place im going is College Park Car Wash Inc.
My question to the wonderful community is what package should i go with. The reason why I ask is because of their low prices, Im assuming the quailty of the products used is pretty low. If the sealent or wax is cheap quality and would do more harm than good than I read just go with the basic wash and undercarriage spray. This is the price break down I found: $8 package adds the undercarriage wash to the basic wash and quick dry. The $10 adds clearcoat conditioner and polish. The $12 adds a body armor protectant, Durashield, an extra rear rinse and more drying time Thought on which one to go with? |

Don't hate me lol, I always wash my car myself but I also enjoy doing it, if your car is really dirty take some time and wash it yourself, car wash probably won't do much and if you are not careful removing that dirty it can easily leave swirl marks or scratches on your paint

Please don't take your Bimmer to a touchiess car wash! When it's touchless like that, the machine uses strong cleaners/degreasers which will remove any protectant you have on the paint (sealant, wax, etc). Also, if your car is really dirty, you will need to hand wash anyway to agitate the dirt off your paint; touchless wash will not get all of that.
Also, any "sealant" or "wax" sprayed out by the machine is garbage and won't do anything to add protection

$8 package. Undercarriage and quick wash/dry. It will contain the least amount of chemicals.
I generally hand wash mine, but I will take it through a touchless wash after road trips. I found one about 8 miles from my house that uses low pressure sprayers. |

if you are going to take it to a car wash do the cheapest one. I do that with mine but i do clean the wheals and wax the car myself if it needs it after.

My touchless car wash uses biodegradable soaps and waxes. I have no idea if that's any easier on the car's finish. Maybe the lack of the harsher chemicals would be kinder to the car.

Just use a good waterless wash product instead of taking your car to the auto washes. I use Chemical Guys Ecosmart and its amazing
