Side skirt scraped

Was travelling in another province.

There was a broken down bus right in the middle of an intersection corner.
Not enough space to make left turn but following other cars before me, I had the left wheels go over the curb.
And this is the result (facepalm)

This is underneath the side skirt below driver's door.
It's about 3.5 inches long.
Fortunately, one has to crawl down to see a hint of it.

Since not too visible, I'd scrape the loose paint, get a touch-up kit from the dealer, and just cover it.

No metal parts, purely cosmetic.

That sucks, I feel for you. What the previous post said is a good idea.

It's seriously out of sight. I wouldn't cry over spilt milk.

If you can't see it, it don't exist. I have a scrape under my front bumper, got that on the 10th day of ownership. Now I am extra careful.

If you wish to do it, I'll get them out of your way... If they're M Sport.

Thanks for the suggestions. Since it's hardly visible, I won't do anything about it until the lease end.
I am not going crazy about it. Just feeling really stupid about what I did.

I would a little.
Did the same thing to my then new 2007 335i.

But, as with this one, it wasn't a rental...
