New carbon fiber, recommendations to protect?
I got some fresh carbon fiber pieces (side mirror covers, spoiler) and I was wondering what would be good to coat them with for protection?
I picked up some turtle wax ceramic polish and wax and I was wondering if that would be good enough. Maybe reapply every 6 months? Thoughts?

I'd say that's probably as good as anything. You'd reapply when the water beading diminishes. You should be treating the entire car with hydrophobic sealant, not just the CF parts.

Back in the last century you'd be using wax. Even today polymer sealants are often referred to as wax, as is this one, but they're no more related to actual wax than modern synthetic lubricants are to mineral oil. Ceramic is the latest buzz word, which may or may not be all that the advertising claims. This is what I use as my final top coat, which is also a polymer sealant: https://www.amazon.com/Jescar-Power-.../dp/B01LRHSND0

No wax. If the paint looks good I'll polish with this, then apply Power Lock.

BTW, I just picked up one of these, plus a spare battery, for polishing and sealing, which doesn't need the power of my big gun rotary and dual action polishers.

If your car is not PPF'ed and ceramic coated, you should do that if you plan to keep it more than 5 years or will have high mileage. $3500.
Since a F3X 328i is nothing special..you can PPF and ceramic coat the CF mirror caps. Also just ceramic coat the trunk spoiler. If the parts are cheap eBay items, just use the same products as the paint. Save the ppf/cc $$$ for more mods. Cheers |

Since the side mirrors are susceptible to rocks and road debris, PPF those. The rear spoiler most likely just wax. If its knockoff parts, PPF them all because the clear coat will most likely yellow.
