What could have caused this kind of damage?
Some context: I have footage of my car since Sunday, and it did not have the damage. I didn’t go anywhere yesterday and today I went to the tire/rim shop to get the wheels swapped. I wash the car today and I notice that this damage is there. Im a bit confused at what could have caused such a big gash in the bumper… and if it was the tire shop I don’t have proof.
Anyways, if anyone has an idea what it looks like, it’d be much appreciated. Also, there’s a few scuffs around it as if someone swiped it, which rules out the shop dropping a rim on it as I initially suspected. https://streamable.com/h8j443 Last edited by TheLumina; 06-01-2021 at 10:53 PM.. |

It looks like something heavy came in contact with the paint. If you have no proof that it was not there prior to the wheel swap it will be hard to place blame on the tire shop.
Touch-up paint will minimize the gash. Some polishing compound might diminish the smaller scuffs.
