So I came back to my car after work to find this....the wank puffin even gave the corner of my car a clean at the same time.

I'm still waiting for the security camera footage as im going to give this twat a real Christmas to celebrate.

Wtf is wrong with people?! Do they forget that is what insurance is for?! Silver lining....it's only the bumper and not the metalwork so it shouldn't be expensive to repair but FML....

No lane warning on my car....looks like this is coming out of my pocket. Security guard works for the marina and not "parking" so they're refusing to give me any footage.

I made a police report and they've explained they cannot do anything and cannot force the security company to hand over footage as the incident occurred on private land.

So I saw the footage. A drunk driver. It was a couple leaving the marina cafe absolutely smashed (they can barely walk), and they hit my car on the way out.

The problem is the footage is so crap, you can only tell the colour of the car. I think it's a C4 Citroen but I can't be sure and I certainly can't see the plate

Anyway, this morning I spent 20 mins polishing the area with my autoglym products. I need to get my polisher and a higher grit polish on it, and I'll try and fill and paint the chip left behind. It still looks much better than yesterday....

Someone keyed my car 3 days ago. It’s past the clear coat and almost past the primer. Estimate is ~$1500 and I have a $500 deductible. No Christmas gift for me this year... feel better OP.

People really ARE wank puffins (you are much nicer with your name calling than I would have been) You did an excellent job with your buffer and as soon as you fill that chip, nobody will know it happened except for you and that a$$hole wank puffin! I am glad it worked out better than it seemed at first!

In the US you could sue the cafe for the damages. It's very common in the case of a drunk driving accident for the restaurant/bar where they drank too much to be held responsible. Check your local laws, if that's the case where you are approach the cafe owner about restitution. If he balks report it to the police.

Not in Spain unfortunately. They have zero liability. I'll give credit to the police though. They did come to investigate and said they would look at some CCTV footage only they have access to.

You've reminded me two things:

1. I need to get a dash cam
2. Detail work can do miracles. That looks really good.

Cheers for that! I'll post an update once I fill the black dot scratch....

And I totally agree on the dashcam. I'm going to get one shortly. I needs to however have a parking mode.

Some of the Xiaomi Yi DVR cameras come out really well in the reviews....
