Also, did you just let them dispose of your stock exhaust or did you bring it back home with you in case you want to sway back before you sell your car?
I took my exhaust home since it had MPE on it, I sold it a month ago for 700 bucks, which reduced my total cost to 2000 (I had CF tips). The midpipe was sticking out really far near my dash, I put my jacket over it so it doesn't scratch or damage anything.

You could ask them to cut it in 3 pieces, since the rear muffler can be bought seperatly which gives you the opportunitiy to sell yours. The anouther cut in the middle of the pipe. At least you would not need a second car.

Thank you for the idea! I might just have them do that. Even if I can recover $200, I would be pretty happy. I highly double that I would even consider putting the factory exhaust back after hearing about how much owners love the upgrade.

It completely transforms the look of the car and makes you look back at it every time your park and walk away!

And yeah, I hear you about not bring home the OEM exhaust. I do have a Honda Odyssey. But then my wife would have to come with me and I'd have to stash it in my backyard which might not be a good idea. Even if I might be able to bring it back, what the heck I will do with it. Sell it? Put it back when selling my 340ix? Hmmm.

Either way, thanks for you great posts! I think we all appreciate the upgrade. It must sound and feel terrific. I'd will say I did consider going the route of installing an AWE midpipe and exhaust along with a BM3 tune for about the same money. Only issue is the loss of warranty down the line. Decisions. Decisions.

David
You're welcome and good luck with your decision. If you do decide to proceed please post a pic when it is done.

I was also thinking about installing the front splitter, but that would have brought me over $3K. That will be for another day along with all the other upgrades I plan to do in the next few years. I now officially have the upgrade bug.

You bet! I am still mulling over the upgrade. I will say that the splitter definitely transforms the look of the car. You can definitely get the cheaper ebay 3rd party ones but the fitment is only about 95% vs the OEM one. But they usually cost only about $100 vs $495 from BMW. But I now scrape the front of my car on steep driveways if I am not careful so think twice before you go for it. Mine is lowered on Eibach springs so that adds to the problem.

Since turning in my F30 340i (w/ port installed MPPSK) earlier this year, I haven't been following this board closely so I missed this thread. I'm just south of Boston as well. I found out about this promotion as one of the SA's is a friend of a friend. I highly encourage anyone even thinking about taking advantage of it to bite the bullet and just do so. My G20 M340i will be here soon. I had originally ordered the Dinan exhaust which is backordered. I cancelled it and ordered the MPE from Tulley. Local shops are charging $300 to install an exhaust so the savings there alone make it worth the trip.

My F30 was lowered on H&R springs. If I wasn't careful, I'd scrape on some driveways and speedbumps. That's why I went for a cheap Ebay front lip instead of the real M-Performance one. It never cracked but if it had, replacing a $100 part is an easier pill to swallow over a $500 part.

Dinan/AWE muffler range from 1299-1599 plus mid pipe range from 500-650 with installation who knows how much, include bm3 license or JB4 for about 600 which also voids your warranty, you probably looking at 2.5-3k.

You can get all that with MPPSK which is 2.4k out the door with chrome tip and you keep your warranty, idk about you but sounds like its worth every penny.

You can still negotiate a good discount by shipping around your local dealers. I did this for my MPE and MP-HAS and managed to get significant discounts on parts and installation. Much like buying a car, they might just have inventory to move. This is especially true for the FXX which are no longer in production.

Damn dude, that cali tax lmao. My local dealer quoted me 3.5k before tax and won't match the deal, I was like you clearly don't know how to do business. This is why I drove 2 hours to NH to do this job, free installation with no tax.

agree on the tax. and lucky you for getting that awesome deal. I just ask my SA to ping me as soon as they have a sale on the MPPSK. for the 3K I have to fork in, I am having second thought. since I am keeping this car hopefully they will put all their over-inventoried MPPSK on sale down the road. I know, wishful thinking.

As my wife reminded me I was being audited by the State of Massachusetts and so I did not proceed, since I was not sure of the results. At that time, I thought I would loose this opportunity when the deal expired at the end of November.

Good News!
Tulley extended sale for the month of December, Monday I received a letter from Massachusetts stating I was in the clear and then my SA reach out to me on Wednesday asking if still interested (how did he know?). I saw this as a sign and so after one more night sleeping on it, I pulled the trigger on Thursday. I also added the rear M Performance diffuser for $370.40. So total cost out the door was $2,888.80.

My wife and I were smiling ear to ear when I drove the car home.
