2017 430i X-drive brakes
Can anyone recommend rear brake pads for the 2017 430i x-drive?
What's the average cost? Parts numbers or link would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I purchased akebono brake pads as they produce much less dust but still provide a good smooth bite rather than a powerful initial hit then slow down.
It's a preference thing, but since it's just my dd, the pads are excellent. My tires actually have been doing more of the work, I've swapped onto my winter set, which is just my old oem 393 wheels: 225/50/17 pirelli cinturato p7's. The braking distance is much longer due to the narrower widths and different compounds The short winded answer is depending on what your priority is: price, feel, longevity; that will dictate what you go for. Oem's are dusty as hell in my experience but the akebono have been excellent so far. I know many people like to run the hawk pads as well but can be louder due to their more track orientation.
