I have more of flap rattle at 2000rpm, certianly doesnt make the car vibrate but i can hear it, it almost has a E46 M3 rattle/rasp noise if im honest. I Think i might have to look at the exhaust flap spring and see if i can adjust its tension.

Here is my 440iGC

Ferrari Red and Opal White Merino. Just put on the M Performance black grills today, wasn't sure whether to change or not but looks so much better now I've seen them on.

I have this with mine and it really annoys. It was fitted by the previous owner so unsure if it's always been like this. I asked the dealer to check it at the last service and they said it's normal. The only way round it for me is to use the paddles and keep revs up, as it's only around 2000rpm it happens.
As this is more our family car I'm not really fussed about having the MPPSK to be honest, and tempted to try and pick up a standard one. If anyone fancies a swap I might be tempted!
I'd be interested to know how common this resonance issue is - it's starting to put doubts in my mind about whether MPPSK is the right option.

I have a resonance at about 2500rpm and it's the reason I put the MPPSK flaps back to normal as keeping them open all the time was a bit annoying on town driving or steady motorway driving.
Comfort is fine, and spirited driving in sport is also fine, but normal driving in sport was the problem.

No rattle or resonance at any rpm in my car. I would ask to have it looked at by whoever installed it.

There's a lot of people in here confused to whether they wanted a Coupe or a Saloon

What is it about the GC that people like, I dont want to hear "practicality" either?

disclaimer** before people get upset, it's all light hearted jest. They just look too disproportionate to me and you either want a 4 or a 3, you cant have a "43"

Well, you will have to hear practicality when discussing advantages of the GC as BMW designed it for those who want to combine the practicality of the 3 series and the styling of the 4 series. I think it's a perfect balance and combined with MPPSK (and perhaps bm3), it's has a lot of fun factor too without the price tag of the M4.
There is no getting around this - it's a massive advantage:

I can't find and angle I don't like on this car

I don't get that car. Is the appeal a 520L boot size vs 480L in the GC? Surely the sight of it can't make you excited

For me it's the sloping 'fastback' roof. Used to like the look of the saloons but now prefer this.

My wife wanted at least 4 doors, and also a hatchback.
Nothing to do with wanting a coupe or a saloon really. Just glad BMW do the GC otherwise I may have ended up with a Vectra or something

Truely awful example... So your wife wanted at least 4 doors and a hatchback... (say BMW only made a 4 coupe) you would have bought a Vauxhall Vectra/Insignia over a 340i Touring... ARE YOU HIGH? The touring looks better than the bloody saloon.

I never said the 4 GC was an ugly car I just think they look a 'lil' silly with the extra door's and a coupe, should be a coupe.

Though you lot have got nice looking GC's I just don't get them.

I had the resonance at 70mph in 8th gear in sport so simply drove faster or manually put it into 7th gear. The resonance is probably at about 2000rpm and it is annoying but it gets worse when you put a sports cat on as it just gets louder.

It's not that annoying as if I'm on the motorway cruising at legal speed I'll be in comfort. If I'm having fun I dont really care about the noise and I wont be doing 70.

Yep, we get exactly this. Keep it in 7th, no problem - 8th and there’s a real drone - but then who cruises along the motorway in Sport anyway?!

Nothing much to do with practicality when I bought mine. I can’t have a proper coupe on the company car opt out anyway.

So it was a straight choice between a 3 Series Saloon and a 4 GC. Actually ordered a 340i and then changed last minute to a 440i. Just preferred the lower sleeker look, and when I sat in it I preferred the lower seating position of the 4GC. I wanted whatever 40i I bought to feel a bit sporty and a bit special. The 340i didn’t quite give me that feel, the GC did.

Etto though. Would be boring if we all liked the same.

With Remus's system 8th at 70 is actually fine with no drone at all so maybe those guys.

Haha, no, it was an extreme example. I wouldn't have a Vauxhall.
Estate was out off the table too.

I probably would have looked at cars like:
Audi S5 Sportback
Volkswagen Arteon Hatchback
Porsche Panamera (Most likely used) *Also my current dream car.

Without the practicality the 4GC would not have been in the running for me, but to my eye it's way better looking than the 3 (the front of any 4 looks better than any 3, and the saloon rear was pretty dull on the F30). And I much prefer the look of the F36 to the F32, a far more shapely and balanced design. All IMHO.

I still think the F36 is one of the best looking cars on the road, never mind one of BMW's best. The F30 does not even come close.

I almost leased a 3.0 A6 Avant for about £300p/m, but the wife did everything she could to put me off signing up to that device. Audi+hearse could not have clocked up many more negative points. Next up was a 330d lease until the dealer suggested a 430d GC would be very little more. Then I read Rukka's review of a 440i on here, test drove one, and decided purchase was better than lease.
