How are you finding the car otherwise?
Mine hides under the boot floor, have you looked?

My one and only gripe is i took the dog fence out and it keeps a big gap between the rear seats and the i'm sure the parcel shelf bit is able to be put in the small compartment in the boot but never manged to get it in

Should fit in the space that's taken up by the metal boot divider

It doesnt fit after about 7 attempts of trying it. If you have any photos of it in that would be ace!!

Remove boot divider bar:

Unclip parcel shelf and drop it into place where the divider bar was. Don’t flip it or turn it, you may have to drop one end in first, but it goes in the same orientation as it would behind the the seats

One very slight niggle, is the lack of the aluminium bar that can be clipped into the boot floor to hold things in place. I need to investigate further, but it appears BMW have quietly removed it from the options list. I’m pretty sure it was part of the extended storage pack, which I got as part of the interior comfort pack.

It’s not mentioned on the BMW configuraror specifically, and if you look at the RealOEM parts catalogue, it’s not shown for the most recent models. It’s in the picture, but no part number associated with it.

You can buy the clip in bar cheap enough on eBay, but without the holes in the boot floor, you can’t use it.

Need to speak to BMW and find out the official line.
Looks like they may have reverted back to the cargo net . Just looked on the configurator Extended Storage details:

“Extended storage offers additional storage opportunities that comprise of nets on the rear of the driver and front passenger seats, 12V sockets in the rear centre console and luggage compartment (right side), folding compartment on the driver's side instrument panel, two extra lashing eyes in the luggage compartment, storage net on the left in the luggage compartment, versatile net for the floor of the luggage compartment, retaining strap on right luggage-compartment side panel and reversible liner with integrated protective adhesive film.”

On the plus-side, at least you should be able to store the parcel shelf without then having to try and find a home for the divider bar!!

I’ve mentioned it to my man at Sytner. He’s going to try and find out.

On a different subject. I’m happy to report that the exhaust note is still perfectly acceptable.

It’s still got a nice burble on cold start, and pops a bit on the overrun if you rev it. I would say it’s comparable to earlier cars with a standard system.

I also ordered the same 340i in MG and my car was on the same boat as yours. Was meant to be delivered last week to the dealer but is stuck somewhere apparently waiting for "final checks " before going to the dealer ....
