F33 convertible roof wrap anyone?
Lots of photos of f32 with black wrapped roof but can't find any photos of any f33 with wrapped roof. Please show me yours if you have done it.

I've thought about a CF wrap on my F33 roof. But never got around to dealing with it. I will find a tape measure and give you rough measurements.
This is a video where someone had their 3 series hardtop convertible roof wrapped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=lsUga3_yOhI Last edited by chowser51; 03-11-2019 at 11:34 AM.. Reason: adding pic |

I just got a quote from a shop close to where I live at. I'm going to try to get it done this time next week if they can get me in. I'd do it sooner but I'm overseas working right now. I will post pictures of before and after. Then decide if you like the look. I was going to do like a gloss black maybe. I have a mineral white 430. Unless you would think another color would look better.

Yes please photoshop. I’m confused on what the rails will look like or if I should skip the rails and just do the main part of the two roof panels.
Also debating gloss or matte black or cf wrap. —- I’m going to do all three panels here in gloss black when I get back from vacation. Last edited by chowser51; 03-16-2019 at 01:59 PM.. |

Thanks! That looks good. I’m going to try and make some type of delineation and keep my rails? unwrapped. I’m new to this and wrapping the convertible mechanism things look complicated. Figured straight lines would be a good first effort.
Just waiting for a warmer day to do it. My garage gets too cold. |

My tint guy wants to try wrapping a convertible roof. I told him I wanted it to look like this M3 he has in the shop. Black. Not carbon fiber. Of course he’s trying to sell me ceramic coatings as well.

there is the finished roof. it looks like shit up close. I'm getting a refund from the shop that did it and I'm getting it redone at another shop that is much better.

Wow!! That does not look good! Glad you’re getting a refund.
I’m waiting for my guy to have an open spot to squeeze me in. He’s been booked through summer but gets me in so I’m patient |

it's like that over the whole roof. but I talked to the owner April 2nd about the refund. haven't heard from him yet. I emailed the regional manager and debating Monday to talk to a lawyer about going to small claims court after I get the clear coat looked at. being as he was leaning all over my car while it was getting done. and im having it taken off Monday by a different shop that has much better reviews.

My guy moved locations and is too busy. I got bored last night and dipped it. Did a horrible job so I ripped it off. Taking it somewhere now to get wrapped. Will post pics tomorrow
Here’s the bad job |
