Just seen the pics thanks!

The rear looks perfect but the front looks unchanged in ride height?

Hmmm I think I may go for the Eibach, 30mm fronts and 20mm rear iirc?

Yes, its odd the front looks still a little high, but I guess what is more important to you.
I like the fact I've still got a warranty.

I could be totally going over the top but it's just my luck that something like this would happen to me!
If BMW said it was down to the springs we would cover it. Brakes are one of the things covered.

http://www.ac-schnitzer.de/en/bmw-ca...ty-conditions/

but they wouldn't do that as it makes no sense. As an example, we had a damper fail recently on a M5 (F10) with ACS springs. BMW decided the failure was NOT due to the springs, it was just a regular failure, and replaced the damper. But if they hadn't replaced it, we would have covered it. Hand on heart I can honestly say that ACS are brilliant about warranty, often going way beyond their obligations. I can name another tuner that has NEVER agreed a single warranty claim!

@Lorcan, any idea why the front ACS springs are still a little high? I assume a technical reason? It's not a problem for me but as an observation, they do seem higher than an E90 M Sport.

ACS work on handling first and aesthetics second but I'll ask Germany for a response. Our M135i kit was revised a few weeks ago after customers said the opposite - that it was not low enough at the rear - so sometimes it is possible to be more aesthetically pleasing without compromising the handling.

I'll report back...

Strange how GTSussex's car looked more balanced in photos without that sinking rear effect. Perhaps your springs will settle over time?

No, they don't settle. They are stress-relieved in production to prevent settling.

Thanks Lorcan, not a big problem for me as I say, but other people may be interested.

I think it looks good dopper. Not really much of an issue front to rear to my eyes.
Have you measured the ground clearence along the side skirt? Would be interested to see if there is actually any difference, or if it's just an illusion.

Can't wait to get mine done now..... But I must!

Hey, don't bust that 'settling' myth quite so easily......you'll upset a heap of people

No not measured it as yet. Although I didnt measure it before so dont know how much its dropped! Would need to compare with someone who has a standard 335d I guess.

Looks good dopper I'm getting more and more tempted by this now...

Just out of interest has anyone tried the BMW "M Performance Chassis" in comparison to the ACS springs?
http://www.bmw.co.uk/en_GB/topics/ow...es-saloon.html

I guess the biggest difference will be in the price.....

I'm sure I read somewhere that suspension upgrade was only for sdrive models, but may be wrong..........

On that website it says: "10 mm vehicle lowering compared to the M Sport chassis", but the 335d doesnt have an M Sport chassis!? (well not the springs anyway).

But ACS say they drop the xdrive by 25mm.

No, the big difference will be the hard ride on the M Performance chassis. Thats based on comments from the American forum, would really need to ditch the run flats and switch to 18's for that.

I'm still waiting for the springs. I've been told 3 weeks delay (1 already gone). Lorcan, when do you think you can get them?

So would NOT get it done ONLY on the basis that it doesnt look that much lowered!! Strange! There is more to it than the looks.

I think I have my order placed by my dealer. I received a phone call from them on Mon 23rd that these are backordered and it is going to be about 3 weeks before they can get them from you. So I presume my order was placed. ( DP Glasgow).

Its arse down. For the near £500 it costs I'd want it to at least look right!
