2020 330i and 2015 435i

What is making the 2020 330i fast or faster than my 435i ?????

The 330i has unbelievable torque with the 2.0 engine which something I don't have in my 3.0 435i??

Also the steering and suspension are much better. I'm confused am I doing the right comparison?

How do you know it's faster?

Maybe because the 330i is 5 years newer with better steering, etc?

Much depends on configuration. For example, if you have base suspension on your 435i...it might feel inferior to newer or Sport suspension.

Also, torque of the 330i B48 engine at 295 lb ft is very close to the 300 lb ft in your 435i. 330i likely weighs less so might feel as quick or quicker when launching.

BMW's turbo straight 6 always faster than turbo straight 4. So your 435i is quicker than a 30i. initial acceleration may similar, but at higher speeds, the 6 cylinder will pull away while the 4 runs out of juice.

I had a 430ix loaner a few months ago, never felt as fast as my 435ix, not even close, it was a convertible though. Apart from higher speeds, I think even the official 0-60 is listed as 0.5 seconds faster for the 435 as compared to 330/430.

I auto crossed a 2019 330i at a bmw event about 9 months ago. My stock 435 GC definitely feels faster, sounds meaner and looks a lot better. I was very impressed with how well the 330 handled.

OP, did you notice a significant amount of turbo lag with the 330?

There is lag at some point but not all the time though.

But when you put it on sport mode with manual gear the torque is unbelievable for this car.

Yes.

I had 430i coupe one time and it was fast enough to make you enjoy to be honest.

It has comfort suspension and much quieter than my 435i. Mine is 19" tires

But I still like the engine and handling of my 435i

Is there more than one suspension for the 435i?
