330d m sportxdrive or 335 xdrive m sport
As above seen a lovely 330d xdrive msport f31 at peter vardy mineral grey lots of extras ,adaptive msport suspension,M Sport braking system,Xenon headlights:Head up display,M Performance Side Skirts,M Performance Front Splitter & Grille:M Performance Rear Diffuser:M Performance Rear Spoiler
20in M Performance Alloy Wheels:stunning. 335d xdrive msport. f30 Estoril Blue.M Sport braking system:M Performance Side Skirts:M Performance Front Splitter & Grille:M Performance Rear Diffuser:M Performance Rear Spoiler.20in M Performance Alloy Wheels.also stunning. both cars 2015 models 330d £36,990 335d £38,990 both look beautiful cars. I am swayed to the 330d as it has the adaptive suspension. But as I have mentioned on other posts I have never driven a diesel before. ( 40 years of driving ).are they noisy smelly or what. I have read a few remarks from NTGreek about diesels,i don't think he likes them. cheers. |

Go drive them both yourself - only you can decide.
The 30D has just one variable turbo - jack of all trades. the 35D has sequential turbos - smaller turbo initially, handing over to the bigger turbo as revs rise. The 30D has more of a characteristic "on the turbo" rev build-up and feel. The 35D has a more linear pick-up, and slightly crisper pick-up from lower revs (smaller turbo can dynamically react quicker). Maybe not so dramatic, or obvious, but more powerful naturally. It does rev higher than the 30D, so maybe easier to acclimatise to if you have had petrol before. My 430D is one of the quietest cars I have owned. Many passengers raise their eyebrows when I tell them it is a Diesel : "Really ?". No smell at all. I came from an E92 335D and don't miss the extra power, the 30D is simply a great all-rounder (plus no Xdrive, but not an issue in your case : whole other can of worms ). D.

both cars are good, the 330 is slightly more economical, where as the 335 is a bit more powerful, more refined and a shade less economical.
you will be happy with either however you will always feel inferior to other 335's you see in the road if you buy the 330. and for that reason only its worth the extra. if you haggle hard enough i bet you can get that price down a tad more too!! |

I would recommend neither.
330d x drive is redundant, a sit is less powerful than the 335d but has just as poor economy due to x drive. You can't have a 335d without adaptive as its too wollowey due to x drive... Try and find a 330d s drive or a 335d with adaptive. All my opinion of course.

Ignoring all the MSport add on gubbins, that's just a bit of smoke and mirrors.
What is the difference between the two in kit, pro media, heated seats, adaptive lighting etc. Also assuming these are used or dealer stock from the recent M Sports sales thing that's been on? The tourer sounds better kitted. You need to test drive a decent one at that. Also watch out for Apr for them and apr for new etc. Edit: real world terms not a huge difference in power between 330d xdrive and 335d xdrive, either way both will benefit from ACS etc. Also that £2k difference would get ACS and Mppk.... |

Ignore both cars and buy new, spec it as you want and the deals are better with new. Go with a 330 s drive or 335d x drive. Ignore a 330d x drive, there is just no point in that model.
Not sure I've ever felt my 330d lacking in A road overtaking ability. The 335d is thirstier than a 330d s drive plus watch the tax bands.

If you are buying on PCP then buy brand new to your spec.
I'm one of those idiots who bought a 330d xDrive; at the time it was going to be for my wife, and was only £5/m more than a similar spec 320d xDrive. Do I regret not getting the 335d? Maybe, but there is no visual clue as to the difference, and to be honest one thing the 330 isn't short of, is poke! If I discovered that the 335 would only have been £2/m more, then sure I'd kick myself, but it was probably more like £20/m more, which was too much for me. Try both, and buy what you want, not what the dealer wants to sell you. Also, I may be in the minority, but I don't think 20" wheels will do you any favours. Also, for me, HUD, Adaptive Cruise, Comfort Access and Surround View would all come ahead of the body kit, and of on PCP, may help your RV.

For me it works out £62 per month cheaper than if had went 335d . You get that extra British weather handling over the Sdrive without the extra insurance of the 335d. Either the 330d s or xdrive or the 335d are good cars. |

Well, I had a 330d xdrive for 2 months and hated the noise that the engine made. I cut my loses and got a 335i - absolutely no regrets (but my mileage is fairly low). |

Don't pay too much attention to Nick it's all engine envy. He's a couple of cylinders short of a proper engine
335xd was my choice simply because if i had got a 330xd would always have been thinking is the 335xd better??? Dont worry about refinement etc etc. Drive both see which you prefer and compare to new as stated as APR can vary markedly.

Drive them both, you won't be disappointed with either one. As already said, they react slightly differently due to single vs twin turbo set up but real world performance is similar. You could get the 330d and add the performance kit upgrade as a third option.

I'm more than happy with my 330d XDrive, I opted for the 330d over the 335d as I preferred to add some spec to the car and the 330d had more than enough power for what I wanted.
I had the ACS springs fitted by the dealer before I collected the car and it's the one thing I would definitely recommend for the XDrive. Don't listen to all the "XDrive is pointless" and "sdrive is better". Go and test all the options and see which one you like the best. Personally I enjoy the extra reassurance the XDrive gives on a wet B road when you are pushing on but then I have been used to the likes of an S3 and R32 golf. As has been said also watch the APR, it was cheaper for me to spec a new car up than it was to buy a lower spec ex demo model the dealer had for sale due to the good contributions and APR rates on new PCP. |

Funnily enough I actually made an enquiry on the 330d xDrive @ Peter Vardy yesterday morning. I think it's a good enough spec for what I would need and the added M Performance extras are a bonus.
Unfortunately I'm too far in negative for a deal to be done, carrying about a £6k minus, and it seems the deal I had initially on my car wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I did speak with Ross though, and he advised that they can do the car at new car rates, so 5.9% APR making it £599 PCM with zero deposit. As most have said, I'd drive both and see what you prefer, if the specs are what you want, and the deal makes sense, go for whichever you prefer! |
