Typically the DTMF comes down to one of two things: 1. Either you didn't drive the car long enough for it to adapt and it freaked out on WOT or 2. You just need to do an online recode.

Gotcha bro got in contact with Halim and Dzenan and Halim says it was due to JB4 so removed it and did the same thing also online recoded it and did the same thing ill post of video of how it sounds driving it sounds like trash honestly my car never sounds like this lol. I only have this problem with ver 3 and ver 4.1. Ver2 is the one that gives me no problem at all so ive been using that tune and BPC tune right now im going to get a Custom BEF tune from BPC but Bob is out for vacation lol.

Yeah, just sounds like a few table mismatches. Prob due to the older DME. They should be able to work it out.

Yeah, those are all my buddies haha. We're all in PureN54_5 together. Hunter has been pushing (annoying ) Halim/Dzenan for a minute and finally got one through Halim. I'll also be going through Halim when I'm ready to push 350whp+

Exhaust Burble Type- This will control how many or how few burbles, cracks, pops, etc. you want to have coming from your exhaust. The tune will make slight adjustments depending on how you configure this setting. It is strongly recommended to leave this at OEM for a car with the stock downpipe and catalytic converter. This is because these burbles are caused by a little extra fuel combusting in the exhaust rather than in the engine, and the cat is not designed for this. However, even on the OEM setting, you will get a few burbles in the lower RPM range. This is normal and ok.
On the burble setting, what's the difference between OEM and OFF on the Stage 1 93 OTS map?

Thanks!

The OEM setting will give you some low RPM burbles, OFF will presumably give you none, but I've never tried it so I'm not sure. OEM is perfect for stock cat cars with an axle back IMO.

Getting this soon, but I have one question. When you flash the car to stage 1 93 octane what setting(s) is the flash working on? With stock you know the difference between comfort and sport mode but how is it with the flash? Still mild in comfort then all out in sport or the same regardless of mode? Thanks

Stage 1 will give you a noticeable difference in performance when compared to stock, especially the low end rpms - you will experience more torque/less lag/consistent powerband. In regards to the differences between comfort and sport, it will basically be like the differences when stock. Comfort has lower shift points and is much more mild. Sport will shift at higher rpms and the transmission is much livelier giving you that “all out” feel.

TLDR; Flash works on OTS settings. Yes, there is still a difference between the two driving modes.

I've just read this entire thread and think I have my mind made up. After running the Dinan Sport the past year I was thinking possibly getting a different and better tune next (and H&R SS) but seems this is by far the best and safest option to keep the car running tip top and have much smoother power delivery.

I just installed the VRSF 5' HD Intercooler, and VRSF CP last week, and I also have had injen cai and the 35i MPE with the Dinan sport on there. I read on this thread on that 91 stage 1 OTS targets 20.8 or so psi, But some guy on this thread was only reading 17psi (which isn't that stock boost for n20 anyway? ) My question is would stage 1 get me similar hp, tq numbers as the the sport unit on 4+ setting? Or less?

All in all, seems no brainer for me to go Bootmod3 as I've also driven out of warranty. I only want the best for my fun daily/track/autoX 428😎.

Believe that some guy was me lol. The MAP pressure pretty much hovers around 17-20 but only hits peak once per pull. Just an oddity of the stage one tune, I've went over it in depth with PTF. The car still pulls as hard as it should, harder than Dinan sport (which I had previously). Not sure about horsepower gains exactly no one has dynoed, but expect a little bit more power and way smoother delivery. Don't have time right now to link it but if you go into my statistics on here you will find a thread wherein I did a full comparison between Dinan sport and BM3 stg. 1.

Pretty much this. JG, keep in mind that a flash tune has control over many other variables that give the Stage 1 flash its power. Timing, fuel, etc.

Okay good to hear it feels like it pulls both hard and smoother. A 91 stage 1 dyno needs to happen for people like me who are curious haha. And I believe I read that post yesterday when searching through the forums trying learn everything prior to a purchase, but will reread when I get a chance tonight! You guys talk a lot of good stuff on this sub-forum. Thanks!

BunkerJ, yes thank you, its not all about boost levels haha. Excited to possibly pull the trigger really soon, but just gathering data.

I'd love to see a dyno as well, just enough to go out and pay for it myself lol.

There's also not a single AWD dyno within 2 hours of me so there's that too.
