On an aside is it normally hard to get warranty work done with a loaner? First bimmer and every dealer nearby kept telling me they had no loaners available for like 2-3 weeks. Had to complain quite a bit and finally one came back and said "oh actually we have one for you come drop it off." What was that about?
Had a drivetrain malfunction not too long ago (ended up being a blown engine and car was in shop for almost a month) got a loaner the weekend before I got my car back (live in NJ/NY metro area).

They rarely have available loaners in the area where I live at so not surprised to hear that.

hope all is well.

Cheers bud.

Wasn't me last Saturday. You back in the UK?
I was, spent 12 days there, got back on Tuesday night to the US. Fun watching the World Cup run while there. Bloody hot, glad to have air con back in the house! !
Ah we had a meet at the British Motor Museum last Sunday. No doubt you were busy but would have been welcome.
Thanks! Yes I saw the thread on that after the meet. Barely had any downtime but we got to see pretty much everyone !

The last (first) time I played around with coding my F30, I seemed to have switched the cornering lights on. This meant that the right or left fog light respectively would come up with steering wheel turn or turn signal indication. Annoying as heck, and looks cheap imho.

Today I coded that out, and also turned on the 'unlock doors on ignition off' feature. Super useful as passengers are always confused with the double pull of the door handle otherwise.

I also took off my front plate and hid my IPASS in the bumper. There are some holes from the dealer installed bracket, but they're barely noticeable on BSM. Thinking a good wash this week will also help make that general area look better. Lots of dust and debris behind the front plate.

I've got LED 6000K fog lights and white turn signals coming in this week so I'm stoked for those!

Not really, the red LED and darkened housing are the only similarities. But the shape is completely different. That's like saying any all-red tail lights look the same.

I don't know about adhesion with the plastic but ideally they'd offer a precut decal that owners could use or not at their discretion.

Now that mines painted though I'm kind of happy they don't come stock, stand out from the crowd a bit this way.

Mine is Pre-LCI so required wiring and coding. As this was needed I let my local dealer handle installation even though it's fairly simple to do yourself once you have seen the YouTube videos on getting the lights out

I've done the install too. It's fairly simple. Took me a couple of hours between the physical install and the coding.
