What would you do to my F32?

Hey guys, my current vehicle is the 2014 428i X-drive sport line coupe.

My current mods are:

405M 20 inch wheels
M-sport axle-back exhaust
Injen intake
BMS stage 1 tune
M4 style spoiler

I have a couple reasons for starting this forum.

1. I'm interested in hearing interpretation of how much power I'm currently making, and the best way to safely deliver more (considering a JB4 and charge pipe)

2. I'm very keen to continue cosmetic modding of the vehicle, I just don't know where to start as I'm looking to keep it OEM looking as possible, and thinks like lips for the F32 sport front bumper are very scarce, and I'm worried about rubbing with springs on 20s.

3. Id like more noise out of the vehicle, but am apprehensive of regretting doing something semi permanent such as a resonator delete. I love the sound of catless on the n20, but am worried about passing inspection.

I understand separate forums exist for each of these topics, but Im looking for more of wholistic inputs balancing each of my priorities as my budget does not allow me to attack all of this at once.

Please, provide your honest input and elaborate on what you'd do to this vehicle!! Should make for a good discussion.

My uses of this vehicle include commuting 30-40 minutes, traveling in between NY and DC (5 hour drives) for school almost monthly, and doing numerous laps on local NY mountain roads really pushing the vehicle.

Here are some pictures of my vehicle for inspiration:

Hello!! Love that spoiler.

I'll start this thread off with suggesting an upgraded FMIC. I was pleasantly surprised at how it made the car pull harder in 3rd. Lower intake temps are always good!

If you have the adaptive suspension, look into Dinan's Shockware tune.

Nice looking F32, I just picked mine up a couple months ago and added the black kidneys and rear spoiler. I love the exterior look of the M sport bumpers but I love the sport line coral red trims. I was looking to do a front lip spoiler as well for the sport line but I've found very few and I am worried about quality. I'm also looking to tune the car to make it a bit louder but I am still new to a lot of this. Keep us posted on your future modifications.

OEM style 405 wheels has conservative widths and offsets, meaning there is no risk for rubbing with lowering springs.

You will probably like to mount spacers once lowered to achive the perfect stance.

Great point! What drop and spacer size would you recommend? There's plenty of deals on springs in the classifieds I've been considering. Also, if you have any experience putting spacers on f3x how do you feel it affects performance?

Front reflector delete. I personally think it's an eye sore. Is that, "OEM" because the EU ones don't have them?

I forgot to mention that Since these pictures were taken I plasti-dipped the front bumper whiskers back to black which had sun damage and turned blue () and added carbon wrap on my front reflectors as a temporary until I buy inserts/ paint them black sapphire. It really brought together my front end and gave it a meaner look. Also yes, it's OEM.

Dinan offers moderate lowering as well as AC Schnitzer. If you like slightly more drop you can look for H&R Sport. If you like even lower you should look at coilovers.

Spacers are manily a cosmetic mod, but wont affect performance that much. 10-12mm front and 15-18 rear are common sizes on 4 Series. But wait with spacers until you have taken decision regarding lowering.

I recommend buying a pair from IND for a great color match.

switch out your charge pipe for a metal one before it blows up. its known to blow up on stock cars so if you increasing boost change it.

20" wheels plus H&R springs plus NY area roads are likely to produce a much harsher ride than you are willing to accept. Before buying springs, it would be valuable to explore coilovers with individually adjustable dampen / rebound controls, giving you many options to tune suspension behavior.

Does your vehicle have M Adaptive suspension?

No, it does not. However, I think I'm quite satisfied with the ride height as of now. More looking into making this quiet MPE a little louder to match my obnoxious intake sounds!

Got it. Since your vehicle does not have M Adaptive suspension, many coilovers choices at open to you - if of course you are interested in coilovers.

If anyone could help me out in the decision between keeping the MPE and going permanent resonator delete, or going muffler delete and keeping the MPE to the side for a rainy day, I'd appreciate it. Also, I've been having no luck with quotes from shops! Everyone I call seems very shady when it comes to customization/modification. Any tips?
